章節 6: Chapter 6: Gang Fight
George's POV
It was a Thursday morning, my parents were in a dispute, so I wasn't going to see them this whole week or maybe for a whole month.
I think my body had already gotten used to being awake, so I changed my clothes, put my gun in my backpack and went outside, walked to a distant place, Zack was waiting there, because nobody could get up because of the noise of the motorboat. Also there were Leo, Seth, Michael and Greyson.
_ "Ready?" Said Seth
_ "I couldn't be more ready." Greyson said
_ "To win has been said!" shouted Michael, half standing, he was drunk.
When we arrived, their expensive cars were parked around an empty lot, no one was in sight, until from afar we saw someone approaching, it was a white man with black pants, leather boots, a screen on one ear, tattoos that They covered him up to the neck, he had no beard but long and disheveled hair, he had a gold tooth like the other members of the gang, who were behind him.
Blackbeard, like Goldthooth (Golden Tooth) the head of the nightknives stood facing each other.
_"This is what you want?" Goldthooth said with two bags of drugs.
_ "You have last month's merchandise!" Screamed Greyson
_ "Well then .... Go get them!"
_ "Waaaarrrr!" Shouted Blackbeard
We all started fighting, we fell to the ground, we hit each other, even two or three people died. Black Beard and Golden Tooth fought between the two of them until they hit me, I fell to the ground and woke up in an unknown place.
I opened my eyes and saw myself tied to a chair, then I saw that my mouth was tied too. When I looked, to my right was Seth, and to my left was Zack untying the rope with the excess part of his hands that were not completely tied.
Seth untied his arms, then untied his feet and finally untied his mouth. Then he unleashed me and in the end he unleashed Seth.
_" We won?" I asked
_ "No, they won, they tied us here and escaped with our merchandise, the others had managed to escape" said Zack
_ "Those bastards!"
Zack took me to my house, I slept about two hours until today.

Leah's POV
My parents had left, I was still hurt by what had happened to me. It was in the morning, I got ready and I changed my clothes, I looked for my brooch everywhere but I couldn't find it. I couldn't lose that gift, it was very important to me. I asked my little brothers going down to the kitchen and they said no, I also asked George and he said he didn't know.
I left my house and George was waiting for me outside to leave. Dana had spent the night at her grandmother's house, so she was going to see her when she got to school.
_ "It has not crossed your mind to tell the truth to my parents." I said
_ "You don't get involved in my affairs." George said
_ "You know ... it's my business too, you're putting your whole family at risk." I said
_ "Shut up Leah!" Said George embarrassed
_ "I don't want to hear your voice the whole way." Clarified George
We got to the bus and the white boys were gone, I was relieved not to see the black haired boy, because he was still affected by his guilt. The only mission I had that day for me was to tell Dana what had happened to me the day before. We got to school and George was talking to a friend, I didn't give his friend the go-ahead.
We took classes as usual until it was time for recess.
_ "Leah, I see you different today, has something happened to you?" I wonder Dana
Suddenly I began to cry, and crying the lump in my throat relieved me a little.
_ "Dana ... They attacked me" I said with difficulty, because I was sobbing
Dana opened her mouth in amazement and hugged me.
_ "It was my fault, I should have stayed with you, I am the worst friend a person can have."
_ "No, Dana, it's not your fault ... It's just ..."

_ "I can't ..." I walked over to the car, looked into my eyes and smiled at me.
_ "Why are you alone here?" Said the boy
_ "I'm lost" I said
_ "Come" he said indicating that I sit in the passenger seat.
I shook my head.
_ "Don't worry, I won't hurt you."
_ "Word of honor" he said putting his hand on his chest.
I thought that if I stayed I was going to have to endure the blows of the white people in that neighborhood or maybe they would sacrifice me in the KuKu Klan at night, but at least if I got into that car with that stranger, I would not die publicly affecting the emotional life of those around me, I thought: "I'd rather die kidnapped than sacrificed"
_ "Thanks again, if you hadn't saved me, they would have kidnapped me to sacrifice me tonight."
_" Why did you do that?"
_" Do what?"
_ "Why do you save a black woman?"
_ "I don't know ... my heart asked me to." the boy said and smiled at me, his smile made me nervous.
I think I know where there's a black neighborhood around here. We started our way and I kept talking to that boy.
_" What is your name?"
_ "Leah Williams called me"
_"Nice name"
_"Thank you"
_ "What's your name" I asked the boy
_ "My name is Steve Truman."
The boy looked nice, and humble, in his way of speaking to me he did not find contempt or hypocrisy, it was clear that he was a good boy.
_ "When you saw that boy attack me, do you know if I got to ..."
_ "Do not worry, I had arrived at the precise moment in which he hit you and you were unconscious."
_ "I think I know a black neighborhood around here."
_ "Have you always lived here?"
_ "Yes, and you?" I said
_ "I used to live in Washington, but then I moved here with my dad 5 years ago" said Steve
_" How old are you?"
_ "I am eighteen years old and you?"
_ "sixteen" I said
We arrived at our destination and Steve parked at the entrance to my neighborhood.
_ "When will I see you again?" I said
_ "My Guardian Angel" I said smiling at him, he smiled back at me.
_ "Bye" he said, raised the glass of his car and left.
Before going home, I ran over to Dana's house. Knock on the door of your house and your mother was at the door.
_ "Hello, Nora, how are you" I said to Dana's mother
_ "Everything is fine around here, when your parents return"
_" In a week"
_ "Dana, here is Leah!"
_ "She told me that she was looking for you all over the neighborhood"
I entered the house and went to Dana's room, she was sitting at the desk in her room.
