"As in, with a child?" 

"Meaning, you're to become a mother in less than a year?" 

"When did you find out?" 

"I'm not the last to find out, am I?" 

"Does Connor know of this already?" 

Lily asked, bombarding both Emma and James with questions. 

The fiery aura she had exuded disappeared, instead replaced with curiosity. 

"Is that seriously all you care about?" James asked. 

Lily shook her head. 

"Of course not, I was just… curious," she admitted. 

She looked back and forth between the two. 

"Dare I ask if this is a joke?" Lily asked, as she did many times before on other occasions she was surprised. 

Emma looked at her stomach. 

"Fortunately, no," she answered sweetly. 

Lily immediately looked at James. 

"If that's the case, a moment alone with my pregnant best friend please, Carrington," she requested. 

James nodded before he left.
