章節 26: A Bright Night

Upon my return to the little hidey-hole that Estelle had managed to keep, I found myself looking over at the windowsill, where, in a glass of water, the two roses sat, the sun catching their colours magnificently.

My moment of bliss was quickly ruined, however, as from the next room over, I heard the slightly muffled voices of Estelle and Juno. "I cannot believe you are still harping on this! What's done is done, we cannot change the past." The voice of Estelle; aggravated and tired.

"I cannot believe you deem it to be acceptable to let this slide! We murdered so many for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time." Juno's voice was that of controlled anger, direct, precise and blunt.

"It is a drop in the bucket comparatively!" I got up and made my way to the room the fighting in, the kitchen.

"Compared to the night of Red Water Dreams? I am aware! Yet I seem to be the only one who thinks that night carries any weight whatsoever!"
