When Histoire woke up, the first thing she saw really was the piece of paper Jotham had left behind for her to read in his absence. She sat up in her bed and reached over for the piece of paper, unfolding it to read the short message inside. A moment later she noticed that tears had welled in her eyes and she brought her hands up to wipe away her cheeks while she sniffed about. She folded the paper once again, opened the drawer, and placed the paper on the very first page of her journal before she closed it.
