章節 40: Plans
Zeus stood on the cliff and was sighing repeatedly while rubbing his temples. On his right shoulder was a palm sized black cat with two tails and on his left was a small pink phoenix.
Turns out.
Persephone explored Abyss Island while Zeus was gone and found a cave with a special devil fruit. It was called the Multi-Multi fruit. Apparently it could allow a person to eat another devil fruit after consumption, so she ate the Multi fruit, then ate the Mythical Two Tailed Cat fruit, since she had the shapeshifting fruit, she could control her size at will.
Her two tails ended in light blue flames. Persephone mentioned that the powers of her fruit were transformation but also controlling corpses. Her shape-shape fruit had been stimulated by the two tailed cat fruit and she could now transform into any animal as well as any object.
Currently
Persephone was rubbing her head on Zeus' neck and Bonney was glaring at her angrily while pecking at Zeus' neck. Zeus was in between pain and pleasure. He sighed and jumped on his cloud before flying away with both of them, Persephone said that within her assassin rights she was allowed to go wherever she wanted when she was off missions.
Marguerite and the other girls were good to go for missions now and Persephone had also mastered all the techniques in her book so she was basically lazing around on a regular day.
Zeus sat on his cloud and flew towards Punk Hazard, he could fly in his hybrid form but he liked sitting down usually. He lit a cigarette and smoked as the cloud traveled. Persephone snickered and jumped on top of Zeus' head before curling up and yawning before falling asleep.
Bonney perched on Zeus' shoulder in her baby phoenix form. Zeus sighed and rubbed Bonney's head saying "Don't worry, let her be." Bonney snuggled into the crook on Zeus neck and enjoyed his rubbing as she said "Okay~"
Zeus smiled slightly and the cloud continued towards Punk Hazard at a leisurely pace.
Zeus and the girls arrived above Punk Hazard to see a giant dragon flying in the air. Zeus hybrid transformed and jumped off his cloud, hovering in the air. The dragon was fighting Luffy, but noticed Zeus and flew towards him and roared.
Zeus frowned and said "Noisy." before swinging his, nine clawed, palm and slapping the dragon, sending it careening to the ground. The dragon slammed into the ground and make a loud boom, the entire fire side of the island trembled as the dragon hit the ground.
Persephone woke up with a start and fell of Zeus' head. Zeus caught her by the scruff of her neck and put her on his shoulder, watching the crew from above before disappearing completely.
Robin looked up and said "Seems we're being followed." Usopp trembled and said "Is it a ghost!?" Robin sighed and rubbed her forehead, Zoro had already cut the dragon's head off before it hit the ground and Luffy was pulling on the legs that were attached to the dragon.
Zoro looked up and said "I didn't see anything." Luffy said simply "A guy smacked the dragon down in the air." while pulling on the legs, clearly not worried about anything other than the legs at the moment.
Robin was thoughtful and Usopp swallowed "How strong do you have to be to smack a dragon out of the air?" Zoro jumped into the air and kicked up until he was high enough before looking around, he went back down and said "Whoever it was, left already. They're not targeting us, just forget about it."
Usopp disappeared and reappeared behind Robin as he said "I-If he c-comes again, I-I'll fight with him f-for 300 rounds!" Robin turned to petals and reappeared in front of the dragon head as she said "A real dragon?"
Clearly, the crew had trained extremely hard and learned everything in the books Zeus gave them. It remains to be seen if they trained in all six powers.
Zeus watched them from behind a crumbled building and grinned. So far he saw that Zoro knew Geppo, Usopp knew Soru, and Robin learned.. well something. It seemed like a mix of Soru and a clone, he gasped and thought 'After Image?!' It was a big possibility. He decided to watch her more carefully from now on.
With that thought, he disappeared.
The crew continued and followed Kin'emon's legs before meeting a centaur and following him instead.
Zeus appeared behind Monet and tapped her shoulder.
Monet was startled and turned around before saying cautiously "Who are you?" Zeus had his mask and cloak on, the only thing Monet saw that was different from usual were the two animals on his shoulders.
Zeus said "You don't need to know. All YOU need to know, is that I want you to work for me." Monet said "Impossible! I work for Doffy only!" Zeus sneered and said "Well see about that. Think about what I said. We will meet again, perhaps at that time you might have a reason to join." before disappearing, leaving Monet with her thoughts.
Zeus flashed over to the ice and snow part of the island. He landed on the roof of a building and played with Bonney and Persephone on his lap. He smiled lightly, their animal forms were really cute. He suddenly had a strange thought 'Maybe I should get a pet?' even more strangely a goat crossed his mind. He cursed the old man Sengoku in his heart before preoccupying himself with the two girls.
On New Marineford
Sengoku suddenly sneezed, Garp looked over at him and said "Good thing you retired, you're getting old! Bwahahahahaha!" Garp looked a little thinner now, it seemed like Ace's death and Zeus not having talked to him in 2 years hit him pretty hard. Especially when Dragon told him that Zeus did, in fact, escape from Mariejoie.
Garp was sad that Zeus hadn't at least called. Some days he had half a mind to call him, but ultimately decided not to. When he thought back to what he had done, he was filled with regret. The first couple months for Garp was extremely hard, after Zeus gave himself up for him. He stayed in his house for a month, when he came out he was haggard and looked sick.
After talking with Sengoku he slowly started to feel better, but every time he saw Akainu he would punch him across Marineford. It got so bad that Sengoku had to order Akainu to stay away from Garp for his own safety, after all, Garp could snap and kill Akainu at any moment.
Since then Akainu hadn't appeared in front of Garp even a single time.
Sengoku spat and said "I feel fine. It's probably someone cursing me behind my back! If I find the bastard, I swear I'm gonna!" Garp laughed and ate 'his' rice crackers, Sengoku looked over and then at his desk before screaming "OI! THOSE ARE MY RICE CRACKERS!!"
Garp sneered and said "Not anymore Goldie! Bwahahaha" Sengoku grit his teeth and veins bulged out on his forehead. Suddenly the door opened and Kizaru walked in, he sat down and took a rice cracker from Garp as he said "Magma man told me to tell you that Abyss Island refused to have a marine base built on it."
Garp heard 'Magma' and crushed the rice crackers in his hands. Kizaru immediately put the rice cracker in his mouth and Sengoku looked between the crushed rice crackers and Kizaru chewing before sighing and saying "My rice crackers..."
Kizaru laughed nervously and pulled out another 2 boxes of rice crackers before giving one to Garp and Sengoku saying "So Abyss Island.." Sengoku ripped the rice cracker box open as he said "What's the reason?"
Kizaru made a funny face and said "Apparently, it would make the whole island look ugly." Zeus told Crocodile to say this, specifically.
Garp burst out laughing and Sengoku had black lines on his forehead. Garp stopped laughing and said sadly "Seems like something the kid would say..." he sighed and went on eating his rice crackers.
Sengoku shook his head and said "What did the heater say?" Kizaru's face turned ugly and said "Before telling to ask you he said 'Just destroy the island and use it as a base instead'."
Sengoku felt his eye twitch furiously and Kizaru said quickly "I told him no." Sengoku rubbed his temples and said "This candle is making more problems than solutions..." Garp thought for a moment and pulled out his snail before making a call.
Sengoku sighed and said "What are we supposed to do threaten them? That dumb bastard already started printing a new comic in the newspaper." Kizaru said "Comic?" Sengoku showed him the comic, Kizaru took a single look and his face turned ugly as he said "Sora, warrior of the sea vs the enemy from within?"
Yes. It was about Zeus betraying the marines during the war. The comic displayed Zeus as a despicable villain who was plotting inside the marines for years before finally making his move. It actually started printing 2 years ago a month after the war, to counteract the people who sympathized with Zeus for the death of his brother.
Zeus had simply never picked up a newspaper after his own death was announced. Some of the others in Tartarus had seen it but decided to say nothing about it. The crew had seen it and were disgusted and furious, it was only served as fire paper and fueled their resolves to train harder.
A voice sounded from the snail in Garp's hands "What's up old man, kinda busy right now."
Sengoku and Kizaru trembled at the voice and Garp had tears in his eyes.
Back on Punk Hazard a few minutes ago
Zeus got a shiver down his spin for some reason before a snail he forgot he had started ringing. He pulled out the snail and hesitated to answer it, Bonney looked at the snail and said "Maybe it's your grampa."
Zeus said "Maybe they're trying to find me." Bonney shrugged her wings and said "You won't know if you don't answer. You haven't talked to your grampa in 2 years no?" Zeus was still hesitating and Persephone slapped the speaker off the snail, answering the call.
Zeus shook and rubbed the cat's chest while glaring at her. Persephone stuck out her tongue and raised her chest.
Zeus sneered and took his hands back before answering "What's up old man, kinda busy right now."
Garp said "You haven't called me in 2 years brat!" Zeus was silent before saying "I was busy, you know, hiding from the marines and stuff." Garp was silent this time before he sighed and said "What have you been up to?"
Zeus said "Are you alone?" Garp said "No, Kizaru and Sengoku." Zeus asked "Did they tell you to call me?" Garp said "No. I can't just call my grandson?"
Zeus said bluntly "You didn't call till now." Garp was silent and Zeus continued "You must be having a problem, what did the toaster oven do now?" Kizaru chuckled from the other side and said "Heya Zeus!" Zeus replied "Uncle Kizaru. How's it going?"
Kizaru said "Eh. Could be better." Zeus said "There's this new popcorn on Sabaody, it's really good! They put butter on th-" Sengoku coughed and said "Not the time." Zeus chuckled and said "Hey grampa Sen, did you ever get that goat?"
Sengoku was silent before saying "Yes." Zeus started laughing and said angrily "You bastard! I just thought of getting a goat because of you!" Sengoku said "Well they're quite nice actually not very high maintenance an- Wait a minute. You're the bastard that just cursed me behind my back!"
Zeus gasped and said "No wonder I got a shiver down my spine before." he nodded as if he was enlightened and the snail made the same gesture on the other end.
Garp chuckled and said "Anyways kid, you safe?" Zeus said "Uhhh.." he looked over and saw a giant marine ship flying through the air and crashing into the snow, he looked to his right and heard explosions, he turned to his left and saw a stampede of centaurs coming from far away before turning back to the snail and saying "Yeah, pretty safe."
Garp nodded and said "That's good." Kizaru sighed from the side and said "What are we going to do about Abyss Island?" Sengoku sighed and shook his head.
Zeus, Bonney, and Persephone perked up and Zeus said "Abyss Island?" Garp said "A new Island in the New World. They refused to have a Marine outpost on the island because they said it would make the whole island ugly."
Zeus burst out laughing and Bonney and Persephone rolled their eyes before ignoring him. Zeus said "Well it's true. There's only beautiful buildings on Abyss Island, a shabby Marine outpost would stick out like a sore thumb and ruin the Islands carefully crafted aesthetic."
Garp said "You know about it?" Zeus chuckled and said "Maybe a little. I might know the guy in charge there. Let me tell you, you'll never get an outpost there. He would rather fight to the death than have a marine outpost on his island."
The three were quiet and Garp said "You're working for him?" Zeus said "You could say that." there was another silence and Garp said "What kind of work?" Zeus said "Come on gramps, leave a little mystery no? You'll find out soon enough." Bonney started pecking at his crotch and pointing to the fight below, Zeus covered his crotch with his hand and Persephone playfully slapped at his hand as Zeus said "Anyways Gramps, It was nice talking to you.. I'll call you later how's that sound?"
Garp grunted and said "You better not be doing anything illegal." Zeus scoffed and said "Who? Me!? Psshhh, Ya right! I'm the epitome of righteousness! Go Marines Go, purge every living thing to catch the panty thief! Anyway see ya!" before hanging up, these girls were almost inside his pants!
He grabbed Persephone and said "What's the big idea? I'll spank you in this form, do you believe it?" Persephone spat out her tongue and Zeus put her on his shoulder before grabbing Bonney and putting her on the other one and looking down.
Luffy was talking to Law, who promptly told him to go into the facility before leaving. Luffy left with the rest of his group and Zeus touched down on the ground in front of the marines. He looked at Smoker, who was in Tashigi's body and threw a box at him before walking in the direction Law left in.
Smoker caught the box and looked at Zeus' disappearing silhouette before opening the box and seeing it filled with extremely expensive cigars. He almost dropped the box but held onto it tightly in the end and stared in the directions Zeus disappeared in before clenching his fists.
Zeus followed Law and appeared in front of him before saying "You understand my meaning now?" Law nodded and said "But how did you know?" Zeus shook his head and said "These secrets are for me to know and you to never find out. If you really must know, I can tell the future. You want another reading?" he chuckled lightly and Law said "No thanks. What are you doing here?"
Zeus waved and said "Checking in on you. And a little bit of recruiting. Have fun." before disappearing, Law looked around but couldn't find Zeus at all. He shook his head and left to continue whatever he was doing.
Zeus reappeared on top of the roof of Caesar's lab. He just turned into lightning and rushed out of the building before flying up to Caesar's roof.
Persephone said "Why did you go see him?" Zeus said "Because I want him to factor me into his plans." Bonney said "Plans?" Zeus nodded and said "He's planning to take down Doflamingo and we want to swallow Pinkie's assets. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what my purpose here is from his perspective, whether he knows that I know about his plan is questionable."
Persephone licked her lips as she looked at Zeus and Bonney said "What would him planning around you do?" Zeus said "Pinkie lives on Dress Rosa but this lab under you is extremely important to him as well as a certain someone inside of it. The lab blows and Pinkie will lose an arm."
He cleared his throat and continued "Under Dress Rosa is a port much like ours that holds all his goods for importing and exporting as well as a artificial devil fruit manufacturing factory. Law, knowing that I am doing underground business, will adapt his plans to steer clear of the factory in Dress Rosa... Hopefully."
Bonney tilted her head and said "Hopefully?" Zeus sighed and explained "There's a 50% chance he does because I showed myself. If not I'll take care of it myself. Let's just hope Law understands and restructures his plans, but Luffy's crew might just destroy his plans altogether."
Zeus paused for a moment and added "Nevertheless, all three outcomes are beneficial to us. I'm predicting the government will move up the payment after Pinkie's defeat and arrest, After we get Pinkie's goods and fruits, we destroy the factory, meet with the government, get the shipment of fruits and burn them. At the same time, I will reveal myself to them and send a message that Tartarus will no longer have any deals with the government whatsoever."
Bonney was startled and Persephone licked his neck as she said "I like it!" Bonney glared at Persephone before saying to Zeus "Why reveal yourself?" Zeus grinned and said "Because, after the move on the government it's time to meet your brother-in-law. I have them all tagged, before the release of my bounty I will reveal myself to them as well."
Zeus rubbed his chin and said "I've been wearing a mask for far too long. It's time to merge the darkness and the light and step out of the shadows. They'll pay dearly for making me a slave!" a domineering aura swept out from him, enchanting the girls, who were staring at him in a daze.
Zeus sneered and said "My ties to Abyss Island are known to no one at the moment, although Gramps might figure it out. Regardless, I'm not afraid, no one knows that Abyss Island is our base and it will only grow when we take in Pinkie's clients and goods. By the time anyone figures it out, it will be far too late."
He pulled out a snail and said "Croc, go into the conference room and open the box. Inside there should be a design for a battleship. Use all the Adam's wood we have and make as many of those as you can, make sure they can fit in the under ground port. Only use the Adam's wood for the keels, the rest of the materials are listed on the designs. I want as many as time and resources will allow in around 2 months."
Crocodile chuckled and said "It's finally time?" Zeus chuckled and said "Very soon it will be. Tell Tesoro to pull out all his contacts and tell the shipwrights if they cannot get at least 3 made I will call another hundred in myself and they lose our personal ship wright deal!"
Crocodile said excitedly "Done. I'll call you back with an update as soon as it get it.. What's this ship design called? It looks like a monster!" Zeus grinned madly and said "It's called HMS Victoria!"

I actually have something to do tomorrow do I don't know when I'll be able to write, so just enjoy this for now. Things are starting to ramp up!
