A couple of days had passed and Evan was feeling worse and worse. He plunged into work, seriously fighting to get the long-awaited millionaire contract.

However, everything he did was automatic, as if he were a robot programmed for that.

He avoided staying at home for a long time, because everything reminded him of her. Her perfume was already impregnated in the corners of the apartment, making the job of forgetting her much more difficult.

Evan also avoided his mother's calls, once he was not prepared to explain what had happened.

He wanted to go after Chloe several times, but according to Tyler, who was an experienced friend in relationships, Evan should respect her space now.

If she really loved him, she would be back sooner or later.

Chloe returned to her parents' house with her heart broken. Not just because Evan deceived her, but also because she knew she was going to have to tell them the truth.
