In the next morning, when Evan woke up, Chloe was not in the bedroom anymore. He did his morning hygiene calmly and went downstairs.

“Where’s everybody?” he asked stepping in the kitchen.

“Beach. Chloe is there with the kids. Mom and dad went to the city.” Emma was preparing a fruit salad. “What’s wrong with you? You never wake up late.”

“I took too long to fall asleep last night.” Evan sighed while he sat on a chair in front of Emma.

“That's the best part of the engagement.” his sister commented randomly. “After marriage things change… After having children then! You stay awake all night long, but for another reason!”

Evan glanced at her for a while. He knew his sister was suffering with that divorce thing but she was trying to be brave and keep going because of the boys mostly. She was always laughing around but her eyes were sad. Was that what love supposed to mean? How long would she take to remake her life?
