Anxious.

My word for the day.

I blink back a few tears as I look around the room I once called a prison.

Mom decided to color it a light shade of purple because she wants to eventually turn it into a guest bedroom. I smile when I think of the happiness my parents held when I told them I was not only coming home for the weekend but would be going to the first hearing we were having against Steven. I won't lie and say I am not afraid, the fear I have for seeing him is unlike anything else, but I have learned how to deal with it.

My anxiety comes from what I am about to do when I leave my room today. I had explained to Brian that I didn't want to drive back with him and although I could tell he was disappointed, I needed the drive time to think about what I wanted to speak with him about.
