--The next day--
Coming out from the bathroom, Luke strode toward the nearest mirror. A lean white body with few bruises came into his view. Although Aine Luke wasn't fond of sport, his body began trained due to the constant beating he experienced. The previous timid grey-eyes were now replaced by sharp grey-eyes. With plain black hair, a thin jaw, and a slightly pointed nose, Luke's appearance wasn't that outstanding. After done checking his appearance, Luke starts wearing his uniform.
Finish changing into uniform, Luke stepped out of his room. Seeing his mom on the way to bringing a plate from the kitchen to the dining table, he quickly stopped her and urging his mom to just wait at the table. Luke's mother felt helpless at her son's action but didn't argue any further and let him do as he pleased.
Soon after, the dining table becomes covered by plenty of plates full of food. As a foodie, this was heaven for Luke. Without hesitation, he starts digging up on the foods swiftly. After a few minutes, the plates full of food gradually decreasing. Mother Luke couldn't help but reprimand her son, "Eat slowly. No one would snatch the food over you."
Luke simply raised his thumb against her mother and exclaimed, "It's because mother cooking is good."
Not long after that, Luke finished his breakfast. Patting his stomach, Luke praised, "Mom, with your skill you can try becoming a chef."
"You becoming more and more sweet talker these days."
"Really?" Without waiting for her response, Luke walked to his mother and placed a peck on her cheek, "See you later, Mom."
"He's becoming more mature. " Mother Luke muttered before shaking her head.
Upon leaving his house, Luke didn't hurry to the school and start walking at a normal pace. The City of Luke presently stayed was called Lark City. Luke heard that both his parent were originally working in the factory. There they meet and fell in love with each other. After Luke Lewis was born, Mother Luke decides to retire from her work and decide to become a housewife while also taking care of baby Luke Lewis.
From the surface, Lark City wasn't an important city because of its location. Lark City's location is far away from the borderline of The Alliance and Notorn Race. Without a doubt, the ability wielder stationed here was little in number and mostly weak compared to the city that happened its location close to the borderline. Even so, Lark City still produced a few genius people that managed to achieve extraordinary merit in Aine Golden Record.
Luke finally stopped his stride after arriving at his front gate academy. He got no feeling for this so-called academy that favors rich people more. Aine Luke even lose his life in this place. Luke couldn't help but felt an immense hatred for this academy.
Once he entered his classroom, everyone's eyes immediately shifted to him. Ignoring their scrutinizing gazes, Luke made his way calmly to his desk. Just after Luke dragged the chair, he caught a fist were flying toward his face from the corner of his eyes. Enhanced by the stats he received from the system, Luke's instincts were sharper than a normal person and so, he moved his body backward in reflex and evaded the sudden attack by a slight.
Getting assaulted so suddenly without any reason, even the calmest person would undoubtedly get angry. Turning his head at the perpetrator, Luke gritted his teeth, "What are you doing, Puly?!"
It was Puly, the same guy who messaged him yesterday night.
With bloodshot eyes, Puly clenched his fist and stared at Luke full of hatred, "You dare to dodge my attack? You must payback for the insult I received yesterday!"
Only now did Luke realize, Puly was turned into lackey by Johny yesterday since he didn't present that day. Even so, that wasn't his fault either. Who's to blame him for becoming Johny's lackey? Of course, it's Johny!
"You're being unreasonable." Luke dusted his uniform before continuing, "I'm not responsible for your life. So, don't bother me with your nonsense anymore."
"W-What? You now dare to retaliate against me??" Puly exclaimed in anger as he sprinted toward Luke with his right fist raised, intending to punch Luke.
Luke couldn't contain his fury any more upon watching Puly slowly coming toward his direction with ominous intent.
Witnessing Luke didn't try to run from his attack, Puly sneered, "Fool! I've known your strength from a long time ago, and I can conclude that you are way beyond weak compared to me!"
If Puly was talking about past Luke, then his words might be true. But things were changed. Aine Luke was no more in this world. And the one who stood before him was another Luke that braver.
Watching the incoming fist, Luke simply moved his head sideways. With Paul's fist missed its target, Luke suddenly lowered his body and threw his right fist with all his might toward Paul's stomach.
*BANG*
Paul's fist stopped in mid-air along with his movement. Under everyone's shocking gazes, Paul slowly fell by his knees and eventually collapse with his stomach laying on the floor.
"Oops, it seems I exert a bit too much exert on that strike," Luke mumbled under his breath which audible enough for everyone to hear.
He didn't think the strength of his fist was that strong. He just planned to teach Puly a lesson by injuring him slightly, not making the man faint. Scratching his forehead, Luke turned to his classmates and making a gesture of plea, "Could you all please keep silence about this matter?"
The students were silent for a moment before forcefully nodded their heads upon remembering Puly's miserable fate.
"Thank you!" Luke thanking his classmates before carried Puly's body in his shoulder like a shack, "If the teacher asked about our whereabouts, just tell that we were absent today." After saying that, Luke stormed out of the classroom. Leaving his classmates completely dumbfounded over the sudden turn of the event.
Fortunately, Luke's class was placed beside the bathroom. Thus, the moment he exits the classroom, Luke immediately went inside the bathroom and entered the private cubicle. Since Puly seems won't wake up in the next hour, Luke simply placed his body above the closet and locked the door from the inside. Glueing his ears over the door, Luke stayed silent for a while before climbing the cubicle agilely after confirming there's no one coming in.
"With this, one problem resolved temporarily," Luke muttered as he washed his hands. At first, Luke was thinking about carrying Puly's body to the infirmary. But after a second thought, he chooses not to since he didn't know when Puly would be awake. And if he awake, then it would be a disaster. Unless he could knock out Puly secretly, then it would be a different case.
As he dried his hand. His gaze fell to the mirror in front of him and his eyes gradually went wide upon registering what's behind him.
'Shit! I'm so engrossed with my thought that I didn't notice these guys' presence!' Luke cursed silently as his body starts tensing.
"Heh, I didn't expect would meet you at this place," Johny said in a surprised tone.
"Y-Yeah, me either." Luke turned around and replying stutteringly.
It was Johny and his lackey who standing behind him!
Noticing Johny keep silent, Luke immediately spoke up, "I'm going first then, or I'll be late for the class."
Luke only walked for a few steps before purposely about to get bumped by Johny's lackey.
Seeing their shoulders about to collide, Luke shifted his body a little to the side to dodge it and leaped backward in that instant.
"Oh? You now dare revolt against me?" Johny raised his eyebrows.
"Probably." Luke shortly replied as the showdown between 3 vs 1 about to begin.
