*Rose's POV*
There was a knock on the door. Hagrid quickly went to it and opened it.
Inside came Professor Dumbledore, The Minister Of Magic, and a man wearing a black cloak with an axein his hand.
"Miss Rose, Mr. Malfoy? What are you doing here?" Professor Dumbledore asked.
I cleared my throat, and nudged Draco.
He jumped a bit before speaking up,"Professor, I just wanted you to..." He fiddled with his hands,"To not execute the bir- Hippogriff."
"My dear boy," The Minister said shaking his head,"That is not possible to do so. Your father has fought, and won, also most of the people in the ministry agree that the Hippogriff is dangerous.. I am sorry, but there is nothing to do."
"Where is the beast?" The black cloaked guy asked.
"Out-Outside," Hagrid croaked.
The man looked out the window.
"I suggest Miss Rose and Mr. Malfoy leave first," Dumbledore said calmly, gaining everyone in the room's attention.
They all nodded..
Draco and I slowly walked out of Hagrid's cabin and to the castle. There was no point hiding now, Dumbledore already knew that we weren't the castle.
"We weren't able to save Buckbeak," I finally managed to say.
Draco's face was paler than usual.
I was about to open my mouth to comfort him, but I was cut off by an owl swooping to me, it was Sev's owl.
I detached the letter and opened it up to read it.
You are allowed to see Black for some time but then head back to the castle before curfew.
"What does it say?" Draco asked. I hadn't noticed that I had stopped walking.
I quickly shook my head and replied,"It's nothing. Listen, Draco, you go back to the castle, yeah? I have to find Professor Sprout because I need to ask her a question."
Draco shrugged,"I can come with you."
"It's alright, go," I said lightly pushing him towards the castle.
He looked at me suspiciously before nodding and turning around.
I had to let out my breath that I did not know I was holding, before going to the whomping willow.
"Wingardium Leviosa," I whispered, my wand pointing at a stick. I flew to the knot of the tree, making the tree stay still.
I quickly rushed in, and climbed the staircases to the top.
"Hello?" I said looking around.
"Rose!" Sirius exclaimed from behind the door.
Before the either of us could say anything, Draco came out of no where and attempted to punch Sirius.
"Stay. Away. From. Her," Draco said, looking angry.
Sirius simply just dodged the punches and gave Draco one big punch that was enough to knock him out.
"Draco!" I yelled a bit, catching him before he hit his head on the ground.
I turned to look at Sirius who just shrugged at me.
"That boy was trying to punch me," Sirius tried to reason.
I just rolled my eyes.
"There is a room over there with a bed, you could put this boy there and then take him back when you go," Sirius said pointing to a room.
I nodded, slowly dragging Draco with all my might. By the time I had reached the room, I was panting. The hardest job was to put Draco on the bed.
I heard some yells coming closer, but that wasn't what was important to me. Sirius would check out the yells instead.
Once I had finally managed to put Draco on the bed, I stood up and wiped my hands on my jeans.
I walked out of the room to see Professor Lupin hugging Sirius. Ron was on a couch with an injured, bleeding leg.
Harry and Hermione were standing besides him.
"Well that happened real quick," I blurted out.
They all turned to look at me.
"What," I snapped.
"You knew about Sirius Black all this time?" Harry asked, looking scared. Ha. The boy who lived was scared.
I rolled my eyes,"Obviously."
"I DON'T BELIEVE IT," Hermione shouted making me jump a bit.
She first looked at me,"This, this was your biggest secret? Becoming friends with a murderer who you knew was after Harry?!"
I flinched.
Hermione then turned to Lupin pointing at him,"You -- You--"
"Hermione--"
"--You and him!"
"Hermione calm down--"
"I didn't tell anyone!" Hermione shrieked,"I've been covering up for you--"
"Hermione, listen to me, please!" Lupin shouted,"I can explain--"
I blinked once and stared at Hermione and Lupin. This was intense.
Harry joined in the yelling,"I trusted you! And all this time you've been his friend!"
"You are wrong,"said Lupin,"I have not been Sirius' friend for twelve years, but I am now ... let me explain ..."
"No!" Hermione screamed, making me flinch once again,"Harry, don't trust him, he's been Black get into the castle, he wants you dead too -- he's a werewolf."
There was silence. I honestly wondered how Harry and Ron hadn't guessed. I mean, if Hermione was able to find out, they would be able to ask well, right?
I went into my thoughts as Lupin tried to explain Harry, Ron and Hermione everything.
I had already heard it alot of times from Sirius and I did not care anymore.
"That's right," a familiar cold voice said next to me.
I looked to see nothing, then suddenly, Sev came into view.
Everything happened in a blink.
One moment Sev was telling Lupin about how he saw the map Harry had showed me, and how he had seen all of our names here. Then everyone was arguing with Sev, and in the next moment Harry had raised his wand and Sev was sent flying back to the wall with a bit of blood falling from his head.
I widened my eyes.
"No, no! Sev!" I said under my breath, going to him.
I shook him, but it had looked like he had passed out.
I tried to remember the spell to stop the blood, but I was panicking and I couldn't think.
After some time, I turned around to ask for help, but I froze on the spot.
A very short man, hardly taller than me, was standing there. The man had things, colourless hair and in the middle there was a blad patch. He had the shrunken appearance of a plump man who had lost a lot of weight in a short time. He looked just how Sirius had described him.
He was Peter Pettigrew.
I screamed, and the man suddenly came towards me.
"Rose," he said, but never got the time to say more because Sirius had punched him away from me.
Lupin and Sirius were ready to kill him, but Harry shouted,"No!" And had ran, placing himself in front of Pettigrew.
I looked at him as if he was mad.
Lupin and Sirius attempted to convince him.
"We'll take him up to the castle. We'll hand him over to the Dementors. He can go to Azkaban... Just don't kill him," Harry said. Yes, he was definitely mad.
I stood up. If we were going to go back to the castle, I would rather take Draco with me than come all the way here afterwards.
I was about to push him up, but an idea clicked into my mind, why hadn't I thought of it before?
I took out my wand, and muttered,"Wingardium Leviosa."
Draco flew up in the air. I smiled, proud at myself.
When I went out of the room, I found myself alone in the shack, with Draco flying next to me.
Of course, everyone has left. They even remembered to take Sev, but they had forgotten about me.
I went out to saw Harry talking to Sirius. Ron and Hermione were sitting on the ground.
"I'll just take Draco to the hospital wing," I told them as they nodded.
I walked up, with Draco floating besides me.
At the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey did a quick check up, and said that Draco had just been knocked out, and that there was nothing real wrong with him.
She said that Draco could sleep on one of the beds and I could stay until he woke up.
*
I hadn't noticed that I had fallen asleep next to Draco, I only realized that I had done so when I woke up by Hermione shaking.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Alot," she whispered,"Scabbers -Peter- escaped, Sirius has been captured, he will be getting the kiss any moment."
This reminded me of Divination, I groaned, I had totally forgotten about that.
Hermione continued,"Then Snape has been lying to the Minister, they are talking right now-"
The doors swing open and Dumbledore walked in.
"For heavens sake!" Madam Pomfrey exclaimed,"is this a hospital wing or not? Headmaster, I must insist-"
"My apologies, Poppy, but I need a word with Mr Potter, Miss Granger, and possibly Miss Rose," Dumbledore said.
I just noticed Sev standing there as well. All of the adults argued, I was too sleepy to pay attention to them.
I was so close to falling back to sleep, but Hermione shook me once more.
I saw Dumbledore leave.
"Harry, come here quick," Hermione said urgently. She was holding her Time Turner out.
"Here--"
She took the chain of it and threw it around Harry's neck.
"Rose, are you coming?" She asked.
I was just about to say yes, till I remembered Draco. I shook my head.
Hermione nodded then asked Harry,"Ready?"
"What are we doing?" Harry said, looking lost.
I sighed. Harry Potter was popular for no reason at all.
I saw Draco slowly open his eyes. There was a small wind, and Hermione and Harry were gone.
"Wha-" Draco was about to say, but he got cut off with Harry and Hermione quickly coming into the room and lying onto their beds.
I was shocked.
"I love magic," I whispered under my breath.
*
Draco and I had been allowed to leave that night.
Hermione had told me how they saved Sirius, and I was happy that what I had seen in the Orb hasn't came out fully true.
She had also told me that they had saved Buckbeak as well, which had made me smile.
I was informed by Harry that Professor Lupin was no longer going to be out Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher.
I didn't really mind, but Harry was really sad because he had gotten close to Lupin.
I was a bit angry at myself for not figuring out why Lupin had looked so familiar, but then I had just shook it off. Perhaps it had been my mind playing with me.
The exam results had come out the last day of the term. I had passed all my subjects with high scores, and I had topped the class in Divination.
Gryffindor won once again in the house championship once again, which was no surprise.
Nothing was going to stop me from having a good summer and getting started for a new year. There was nothing to worry about anymore even is there were alot of unanswered questions.
