章節 9: Hokage
Three months passed while Yami busied himself in training and absorbing as much knowledge as he could about fuinjutsu and medical ninjutsu.
His body's power was now insane as he trained while activating 13h level of the weight seal. He mastered mystical palm jutsu in just three days as his chakra control reached the required level quickly. With his sharingan, then copying the jutsu was easy. Thanks to that, his training speed increased by a lot as he started healing his muscles by using the mystical palm jutsu. To heal the fatigue quickly his vitality was consumed but he made sure that it was only at the level which can be restored with heavy intake of nourishing food.
Now due to constantly maintaining chakra enhancement all over his body while training, his chakra control had reached Kage level. It was becoming more and more difficult to increase it more now though. The best thing was that his chakra resents have spiked to low Kage level too. This was insane speed but Yami did not find it crazy now because his training method was too brutal and the fact that he had more potential due to truly pure Uchiha bloodline. The greater the potential of the body , the faster and greater improvement. This was a simple logic.
Now he was more excited to break more body and mind limits to rapidly increase his chakra more. Sadly he could only gain battle experience by fighting beasts in training grounds no 44 by limiting his strength by a great amount. He gained much but to gain more and break his limits, he needed to experience life and death battles with other powerful shinobi. The war was perfect for that but he did not want to do easy missions like border patrol. The probability of encountering strong enemies there was simply too low.
The slowest advancement was with fuinjutsu. According to Kushina , Yami had monster level talent even more than her. But Yami knew better. He was just using insane amount of shadow clones to stock up experience that's all. Fuinjutsu was like programming from earth but much more difficult and complex. Only to reach a satisfactory level in calligraphy, he nedded one whole month despite stocking up experience with shadow clones .
Then he had to practice using chakra ink to draw symbols nearly in one go while passing his intent through his chakra. This shit needed too much concentration. The happiest time for Yami was studying different sealing formulas because it was not much difficult for him and he had fun while inventing his own formulas.
There were many levels in fuinjutsu but to bypass using chakra ink and substitute it with his own chakra , he needed to reach master level. Now he had barely reached advanced level using more than fifty shadow clones daily to practice and create seals all the time. Master level was just next to him but he estimated that he would need many more months of practice before he would become able to create seals with just his own chakra. He envied Kushina a lot because of her pure Uzumaki bloodline, she had great affinity with fuinjutsu unlike him. She could easily pass her intentions in the symbols while he needed insane amount of practice time.
Fortunately Yami had max pain resistance so he could create as many shadow clones as he wanted without fearing his mind shattering from pain of the mental backlash. Shadow clones were one of the greatest reasons his chakra level increased so quickly. One needed to continuously to empty his chakra reserve a little or a lot for little lot of increase in chakra reserves respectively. When Yami reached Master level in fuinjutsu the first sealing formula he was going to create is already decided. He will create a formula which will always keep his chakra reserves at 95 percent of the full level. This way he could ensure that his chakra reserves continue to increase even when he is resting. He has Kage level chakra reserve already so it won't be much of a problem especially because his reserve would be even more in next few months.
Currently Yami was eating ramen at the Ichiraku after a heavy training session like usual when an anbu came and told him that he was summoned to Hokage office. Yami wanted to rest for a while but he had no choice to go now.
The building was nearby so Yami reached there quickly but this time wearing his standard jonin uniform after a long time. Yami claimed up and knocked on the door of Hokage's office.
He heard an old voice from inside and casually walked inside after opening the door.
Yami - You summoned me Hokage sama?
Yami looked at the old man wearing a weird long hat and long red white robes sitting on his desk and batting with huge amount of paperwork with a tired expression. He had met him for first time was already familiar with him as old Yami had met him many times already.
Hokage - Ah.. you came Uchiha Yami. First I want to ask you why didnt you complete even a single mission in these three months ?
Yami did not think much and replied honestly.
Yami - I was busy training Hokage sama. After the encounter with the elite jonin from Iwa during my last mission , I realised that I need to become much more stronger to complete more missions and ensure my life's safety. After all I can only protect my village and loved ones if I remain alive.
Hokage looked at Yami with piercing gaze for a while before gently smiling as he could see that Yami's words held no lie in them. Yami inwardly smirked because Hokage was easy to deceive as long as he displayed complete loyalty to Konoha with his words and his actions. Yami had no lied before with his words because he really wanted to protect the village because his loved ones lived here.
' Sensei, I canse strong will of fire burning inside the young Uchiha before me. Ah.. it would be so nice if every Uchiha had similar thoughts to him.' Hokage thought as he nodded in appreciation.
Hokage - I can understand Yami kun. Now we are facing a war so you also need to know that we need powerful ninja especially jonin like you to complete many missions. I have a mission for you now. You need to lead a team and deliver emergency supplies to our main base camp at Suna borders. Hatake Sakumo is the head commander so you will directly report to him and follow his orders from then on.
Yami listened to Hokage rambling but his mind was feeling little shocked. Hatake Sakumo was actually still alive. Yami now felt that he should have attended those clan meetings because there may be many more things which are different from his anime knowledge in this world. He also felt excited as he would encounter strong ninjas on the battlefield. The large scale battles barely happened one or two times in six months so Yami would also have time to train a lot.
Yami got the mission scroll from Hokage and immediately headed towards his home using body Flicker jutsu. He dispelled all the shadow clones who were practicing fuinjutsu inside his underground base which he created using earth release. After storing all the chakra ink and other equipments inside his storage scroll , Yami went and informed Fugaku about his departure. He told him to inform Mikoto and Kushina too because he needed to group up with his mission team urgently .
After that he reached Konoha main gates wearing special black sunglasses in few minutes and saw the seventeen team members whom he would lead during this mission.
