"let the merchants know I'll allow them for five days if you would please Retha and can you give this to Ta-sheen for me, also" she straitened up as she waited for me to catch my breath.
"let Sanka now I would like to see her in my chambers please ill wait for her there." I kind of feel bad for the goddess ta-sheen and Sanka the goddess is straining her mind trying to figure out who exactly ta-sheen is and Sanka is trying to help her but I think its futile and now with that child I think I her name was Ki'da she was speaking as if she was more superior than her what is she I brush off my annoyance as I enter the room Sanka Is in were she is trying to care for ta-sheen her face it looks like she's scared I sigh as I soften my look and approach them.
"ta-sheen this is yours" I say as I hand her the small bag of money I received a confused look from that "also Sanka the goddess has asked me to tell you that she wants to talk to you in her chambers " I finish as Sanka raises her eyebrow nodded and went out of the room I now Lilly doesn't like me cause I'm not afraid to speak my mind but knowing that the goddess has personally asked all of us not to tell ta-sheen that she is a young goddess I'm not sure how to approach her … I guess I can start with some idle conversation.
"so umm ta-sheen have you heard the news yet?" I ask as ta-sheen looks at me with a scared curiosity "there's going to be a market in the next few days" her look seemed to dull "ah! But hey it's all good your one of the maidens here there's nothing for you to fear about the market." Crap I hope I didn't just torment her wait what did the goddess say about a month ago … ah I think it was that she needs to raise her confidence.
"ah!" I exclaim as a snow demon owl fly's in the open window and lands right next to ta-sheen I stare at it terrified of demons, I fight my urge to run ta-sheen gently pet the owl as I barley believe my eyes as it coos softly. Lilly walks in as I look at her she shares my fear of demons she smiles weakly as she nods and swallows hard, approaches us "hey ta-sheen I have a question I want to ask you." She takes a deep breath as ta-sheen looks at her "have you ever thought of leaving the maidens?" as soon as Lilly askes that she stops petting the demon it gazes at us.
"but I thought….."ta-sheens voice trailed off as she looks down at her feet as I see the goddess walk in her eyes curious as she was looking at ta-sheen apparently she heard the question that Lilly just asked "I don't know I owe the goddess Favor for saving me from my former master I'm not too sure if I should leave" the goddess's expression just dropped as she shook her head placing one hand on her face as ta-sheen looked up she blushed as she grew more timid it looked like.
"Retra" the goddess spoke as she darted in the room and leapt almost on top of ta-sheen and snapped in front of her as the owl flew off in a panic ta-sheen sat back in the chair trying not to get in Retra's way "are you ok ta-sheen?" the goddess asked as Retra has leapt down as the goddess walked toward ta-sheen her small black wings gently flapping as ta-sheen spoke "I'm ok umm can I ask why did Retra chase away that owl?" her eyes looked up at the goddess in a pouty look sighing the goddess spoke "can you come with me ta-sheen please" her look gazed at us and Sanka "alone."
I nodded as Lilly did a respectively and Sanka did a bow they left the room "you both know that ta-sheen has no idea that she has wings right?" Sanka said too us after the goddess and ta-sheen was out of earshot.
As I follow the goddess still a little embarrassed after what she herd my answer to Lilly I sigh as we stop near the library she does a heavy sigh "ta-sheen you owe me and my temple nothing the only thing I gain from this is the experience of finding out who you are and were you belong." She spoke puzzled I go to ask her what she means "you can not stay here ta-sheen " my emotions took from me I just bent my head as she was facing me now "but I wont leave you astray that's why I want to discover who you are" she looked side to side and leaned in close to a half wispier "plus its gets me away from this place and I get to ignore my duties for a bit Sanka is gonna be so annoyed"
I couldn't help but chuckle to that we both chuckle for several minutes as the owl fly's in causing the goddess to duck it lands near me as I look at it with a kind smile and gently pet its head it still just coo's at my touch "you know there might just be more to you that meets the eye" I look at her "ta-sheen it seems that you have an affinity towards demons and that's something I want to learn more about you your unique" she turns and walks into the library after that my thoughts race 'why am I not allowed to stay here and what does she mean I have an affinity toward demons?' ugh this is so frustrating I start to get a headache as a slight glow catches my attention as I start to follow it the owl bites the center of my hand as I exclaim the goddess turns around "Retra now" she orders as the wolf demon charges at the owl it releases me and takes off just seconds away from becoming Retra's next meal. snarling Retra watches it hover and fly outside the windows "ta-sheen are you all--" her voice trailed off as my hand started to bleed she rushed toward me and examined my hand only moments later she spoke "that's a relief that half-demon didn't mark you " I look at her with pure fear she only meets my eyes for a second.
"once the market is over were leaving my temple to discover who you are" she lets go of my hand "but still I will not allow you to come to any unnecessary harm but I wont control you that money you were given is a token of thanks from me and a few others it is yours I would recommend looking into a main and secondary weapon and for me to say that you have my favor" she hold out her hand closed in front of me realizing that she was trying to give me something I place my hands underneath here's ah she opens her hand a wooden carving forged into a bracelet a wolf stood on three legs with one paw up I then realized what it meant that I am to leave the maidens I look at her as she smiles.
"go go and see Sanka for your wound once the market starts I suggest you go visit who knows it might be fun "and with that she walked away just leaving me there the bleeding hasn't stopped completely but it was at the last of my thoughts I look around hoping to find out were that glowing was coming from but no luck shaking my head I slide the bracelet on my left arm it's a perfect fit its cloth strap seemed to twist all the way to the other side nodding I go to see Sanka as I walk back toward Sanka Lilly and Retha I hear Sanka say "during this market we all must be vigilant no matter what we cannot let ta-seen be forced to awaken she must do that in time she is not a human anyway lets stop talking about this now cause we don't really now if the goddess is done talking to her yet and I don't want her to overhear our conversation." Stunned I hesitate and slowly enter the room holding my hand Sanka saw the blood and rushed over to me examine the wound analyzing what she needs for it a few seconds later she rushes off to get some medical supplies.
I gaze down solemnly as Lilly and Retha approach me smiling softly I walk in the room and sit down letting Sanka treat my wound when she returned "hey ta-sheen " Lilly spoke I look up "I'm actually really excited for the market I can't wait to take people out with my spiked mace again hehehe "alarmed I look at her as my eye twitched slightly I nodded at her as Sanka spoke "almost all of us here now how to use a weapon of some sort it something were not unused to here " Sanka smiled at me suddenly they looked kinda scary but knowing that I'm safe it just made me nervous to not get Any of them pissed off.
