章節 10: 10) Classes and Agreement (1).....
Dumbledork looked over the table and knew that it was Iann's idea seeing as he stood up first but he couldn't do anything about it when they all decided to stand. He had to keep his grandfatherly appearance though so he decided to let this slide, "Well since we can't punish you all for this since it isn't a big offence I can only ask that you don't go to far with the clothing choice and that you wear house colors."
The teachers actually looked surprised Minerva more than anyone but she couldn't say anything since he already agreed to it. Professor Sprout squealed in excitement before rushing to her table and celebrating with her cheering house.
It was a huge change to the school even if it felt small, now as long as they didn't do to much they would have to wear those robes. Every other house looked interested, well except Slytherin which was openly scowling at their table along with their head of house.
Iann smiled his hair going electric blue as he was swept up in a hug by his cousin Dora who was more open then most people and wanted out of those robes. They both were raised in the muggle world around magic but they preferred wearing what they were in rather than robes.
This was just one thing Iann was able to do by the end of the year he wanted everyone to be using his cell phones and some other muggle things. It was all going to be in steps though to much at once and he would se resistance he needed some teachers on his side too before he could get what he wanted done.
After a breakfast that actually included something healthy, Iann and Cedric headed off to their first class which was Charms. After searching awhile they finally made it to the class, with the low birthrate from his year every house was together in the classes.
Cedric and him saw Angelina when they walked in she had another first year next to her but she saved them two seats, they walked over and greeted her before sitting. "Hey Lina, how was your first night in your house?" Iann asked taking the seat next to Cedric while he sat next to her.
"It was good the place was amazingly beautiful. Let me introduce you two this is Sammy Greenly, she is my dormmate." She said pointing to the girl next to her who blushed.
Sammy was a girl with blonde hair that almost looked white she had a cute button nose and her cheeks were a little chubby from baby fat making her look adorable. Iann and Cedric smiled and talked to her she was shy at first but started to open up to them slowly, she had the same personality as Neville.
Before they could talk longer Professor Flitwick walked in and he started going into a long talk about charms, the man was super energetic while giving his talks. Though he had to stand on books to be above his desk he was talking with so much vigor that he kept everyone's attention, even the Slytherins though they looked down on the man.
After talking about safety while doing charms he started everyone off with the Lumos Solem charm, though it was suppose to be just Lumos everyone even Iann could do it so he changed it. Around the room everyone was trying to get the hang of it since it wasn't simply lighting the tip of their wands but sending it out like a beam of light.
Iann was having trouble them most since he never really used his wand though it was a perfect fit for him, the Veela hair inside made it temperamental since it felt neglected. He could only sigh and promise himself that he would work on this more so he didn't have anyone outside his circle questioning him.
The classed ended there with a sigh of relief from Iann with his friends laughing at him, Cedric remembering this morning knew why he didn't have such a good handle with his wand. He also respected him since he didn't just cheat using his other magic and actually tried to learn with his wand.
Their next class was Herbology which was easier to find since the greenhouse were outside the school, plus he had went to them earlier so he led his friends there. Along the way they did see some Gryffindor's and Ravenclaw students who had changed into muggle clothes looking more relaxed.
Though the colors had to be apart of their houses it didn't matter since they got to wear something different then what was expected. Iann and them eventually reached the greenhouses but it was simple lesson on the care of plants, they wouldn't actually be working with any until their next lessons.
It was an hour of nothing basically, though Professor Sprout was still on her high about what her house did since her smile never went away even when Slytherin's scoffed. Did they not have respect for anything, after that was a short break before the next class.
While some first years thought it was a good idea to explore the castle more Iann headed towards the next class, Cedric and the girls wanted to explore to but hearing his reasoning they followed him. "Why not just do that during the weekends? This place is a maze and huge and we only have a fifteen minute break if we don't make it to class on time I'm sure Professor Snape will do something."
They found the class after ten minutes which means they would have been late to get there, though it was in the dungeons there were many different things down there so. The girls did stop to use the bathroom after they found it while Cedric and Iann started playing rock, paper, scissors this just made Iann want to make more stuff since they had nothing to do.
When the time came they went into the classroom making them the first not even the Slytherin's were there yet, Snape didn't look happy but there was nothing he could say. Angelina and Iann paired up while Cedric got Sammy, after a while the others started coming in but they did get house points taken for being late.
Snape looked over the class talking in his low creepy voice that commanded attention taking roll call, Snape finished calling the names and looked up at the class. His eyes were cold and empty and made you think of dark tunnels. "You are here to learn the subtle science and exact art of potion-making," he began. He spoke in barely more than a whisper, but they caught every word.
Snape had the gift of keeping a class silent without effort. "As there is little foolish wand-waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic. I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses... I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stop death—if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach."
Iann honestly didn't hate the guy he couldn't not when he looked at him and all he saw was the exact copy of Alan Rickman it was just something that made him sad. Plus with knowing his background life he actually felt sympathy for the guy, though he needed to change himself a little and he would be a perfect teacher.
This was one subject that he was actually glad to take he was able to use some of his ingredients before school and was actually a prodigy when it came to making potions. Snape let them get to work as he walked around silently you couldn't even hear him even when he was right behind you, he had to be wearing some sort of silencing charm.
When he came to Iann and Lina he wanted to make things hard for Iann remembering the way the boy talked back to him but he only saw perfection and walked off. Iann smiled a little hearing him take points from everyone else but them, it just showed that while he didn't like Iann he couldn't deny he was doing good.
No one in class caused a mishap like Neville did so the class went on normal for the next two hours they made the boil potion which was simple and easy. After class was over it was lunch time so Iann told them to go ahead he wanted to talk to Snape for a moment.
They looked at him like he was mental but left.
Snape raised a brow when he saw him walk over, "Yes?" his low voice spoke out in the empty room bouncing off the walls.
"Well I know how great of a potions master you are and I was hoping to be one. So I was hoping you had time during office hours to teach me something more on the side?" Iann asked with a smile, he wasn't lying while he did want to learn Rune and Enchanting he also wanted to get good at potions enough to do them in his sleep.
"Oh and why should I waste my time teaching you, I have more important things to do. You might not be a dunderhead yet but that was only one class." he smirked.
"Well because of this." Iann reached into his bag pulling out a small vile that was no bigger than his thumb along with another that had a small piece of snake skin in it.
"And why would I want that?"
"Simple, this here is the venom of a Basilisk and this is the skin of one and each lesson you give me I am willing to give you more for each time you take the time to teach me." He got this from Snow when she shed and willingly gave the venom, he also had shavings from her jewel but held that back until later when he needed something.
Snape for once looked surprised then schooled his features, "Well am just suppose to take your word for it then?" he said wanted to reach out and take it but held himself back since he could come off as to eager.
Iann was only giving him a small amount since it would run out after using it for one thing he was controlling it to make sure Snape kept teaching him. "Well just take this and when you see the authenticity of it then decided if you want to agree to my terms. This is enough for one experiment so good luck." Iann walked out after setting it on a table he needed to get to lunch to talk to one other person.
