Huo Yao stopped chatting with Yi Lianfan and put her phone away. She raised her head to check the rearview mirror.

It was a junction with traffic lights up ahead and the light turned red, so the car had stopped.

Huo Yao looked at the rearview mirror and contemplated for a few seconds before she told the driving instructor, "Can you drop me off the junction up ahead?"

The driving instructor glanced at her and said enthusiastically, "Don't you want a lift home?"

Huo Yao pursed her lips. "No thanks. I have something to do outside."

Since this area was not considered inaccessible, the driving instructor nodded. "Fine. Well, be careful."

Huo Yao acknowledged him before looking out of the car window again.

Before long, the car pulled up and Huo Yao got off.

She stood by the roadside without leaving or flagging a cab. She glanced into the distance with her head tilted as though she was waiting for someone.
