"Just what I need." Desmond dragged his fingers through his hair, tousling it.

Zaria took note of the tension and shifted her gaze between the two of them. "Is everything okay?"

"Nothing that can't be handled." He took her hand, while Isabella dived for Rosaly and picked her up.

"My cute little great granddaughter. How about staying over at my place tonight?"

Rosaly was caught off guard by the sudden affection, her small hand reaching out for Zaria. "But I want to sleep with Zaria. She promised to read me a book."

"She can do that on video call later and you can sleep with her on another day. Come on." Isabella didn't give her much chance to say no and went upstairs to pick her overnight bag. With the short time it took, she must have simply stuffed in random clothes, her school uniform, and toiletries.

With a last hug and kisses from Isabella and Rosaly, the two were gone in a flash.
