The dreadful night ended as specks of light started to scatter in the sky. The sun rose slowly, filling the kingdom of Oryn with light and warmth. The previous day's darkness vanished and a clear sky was visible finally after a long wait. The breeze carried with it the smell of soil, water and the warmth of the sun, rejuvenating everyone with profound energy. The birds that had returned to their nests as soon as the dark clouds have covered the kingdom were now flying around and chirping happily in merriment.

Alastair waited beside Samantha as he waited for the girl to wake up. He had stayed the night in her chamber, worrying about her. Though his father, the old King had assured him that the witch's spell would never hurt their family or anybody else in the process, the possessive beast in Alastair was not convinced and he had stayed with her, keeping an eye on his angel.
