章節 22: Dilemma

"Why didn't you inform the police yet?"Dayal asked as he rose up towards Kunal and stood just in front of him.

He mumbled nervously "Only when the news came a week later,I knew he'd been killed."

"What do you mean? Didn't you say just now you saw it by yourself?"Jake asked.

"Not exactly"He tells how he ran the moment he heard the loud scream but then saw Disha coming out of the bungalow herself.She was holding a broken vase and was crying.The moment she saw her brother she hugged him immediately.

"Her condition was worse now. I asked her what happened inside but before she even replied she collapsed" he explained. There was no other choice but to take her to the hospital and leave the lawyer there.

" Did you get the lawyer inside?" Dayal asked and he answered right away "I did".

"So you saw him dead but left him just the way he was?"Sam says, making a disgusted face.

It was unclear if the lawyer was dead at that time and Kunal was in a hurry to take Disha to the hospital. He just saw him lying on the ground and thought he fainted because of being hit on his head.Thats why he chose his Sister and left him there. Besides,he had got a few servants to take care of him.

"But ,once I reached the hospital I sent an ambulance to the bungalow. I don't know why they could not make it on time" he adds.

"Nobody told us about an ambulance?" Jake looks towards Mr.Dayal and then back to Kunal.

"I did inform them though "he says and then adds "Will she be arrested?"

"No, I guess. She has been suffering from mental disease" Mon says.

"Let's go back now. We will talk about this later" Mr.Dayal says as he moves towards the door. Soon they left the apartment and stopped at a nearby café. Though Mr.Dayal told earlier that this shall be discussed later, everyone in the team knew that this was not over yet. They chose a silent corner within the place.It was in the afternoon making it more safe.

"He said he sent help!"Sid says, slightly raising his brows.

"huh..did you all notice,he said she hit him on his head?" Sam says as she scans through the menu to order something. Although they were discussing their work they always had to pretend normal in public. Isn't ordering food the best way to do so? Samantha thought to herself.

"Exactly" Mr Dayal agreed and so did the others present on the table as they nodded to his reply.It's pretty obvious that a girl like Disha who was not well at that point of time will ever be able to hit a person to death. Kunal was indeed correct. He must have fainted because he was hit on his back but not dead.

"He didn't mention anything about stabs, did he?" Jake asks and gets suddenly concerned as the waitress approaches the table.

"Not even once" Mon confirms.

"May I have your order please?" the sweet voice standing next to Sid says with a small on her face. Everyone got tensed for a minute by the sudden interruption except for Jake.

"coffee for all of us?"Sam replies.

"anything else?"

"no thanks"

"Your order will be here in a moment." She puts a wide smile and walks back.

"It's strange because the postmortem reports say something else," Sid grabs everyone's attention back to their discussion.

Definitely, this guy knows half of the story and hence presumes that Miss Gill killed her boyfriend just by hitting him once. Furthermore, he said that they got to know about this only when the news came and that's almost a week later when finally Jake and Dayal found him. In between these two events there is a third party who took advantage of the situation and also succeeded.

It's not only Kunal and Black who knows about this whole plot but also someone who knows it from the very beginning. Maybe the day Miss Gill had her last argument there was this third person who was watching the whole thing and the moment these cousins left he went inside and murdered the lawyer before he could come to his senses.

"This time we are very sure that miss Gill is not the culprit but is the reason ,somehow!" Mr. Dayal states.
