He contemplated whether he should risk his identity and asked her housemates directly of her whereabouts or wait patiently for her to come back. No matter the consequences, he could not afford to act recklessly.

He, by no means, was allowed to interfere anything related to human, even if it led to their death. After all the trouble he went to save her, fate had brought them back together. 

'Maybe it's her destiny, to die in his arms. Maybe what I had done back then, was just delaying her death.' 

As he acknowledged his own theory, he sat down on her bed and saw traces of the predator all around the room. He had never noticed it when he came over to send those yellow pansies. Those photo stickers, one normally obtained from the photo sticker booth, plastered one small section of her wall by her bed. 

Looking at the pictures carefully, there was nothing but happy faces on her. The way they gazed at each other suggested they were an item.
