章節 22: Special package

By nightfall, Lucas' butler waits in the indoor patio of their manor allotted for staffs. He was informed to expect and to receive a package from one of Lucas' men by dusk. Delivering the package to Lucas should be his top priority.

Not long after, an outline of a vehicle can be seen passing through the gate entrance and made its way towards the elegant-looking manor. A man stepped out the car, collected the package from the car's boot and entered the manor from the back entrance.

The butler walked briskly towards the man, with his hands out ready to receive the special package for Sir Lucas. Seeing the package, his face looked up in confusion - a facial expression that one can imagine seeing a question mark popped out of his mind.

The man who is responsible to carry out the errand tried to stifle his laughter and nodded to indicate it is exactly what the butler is supposed to receive.

The orange insulated carrier definitely confounded the butler. Not because he is curious about the content of the box but because he knew what is in that carrier!

'Why did Sir Lucas had these delivered?' was one of the many questions that run through his mind. This was the very first time this type of package entered this manor. It is quite unbefitting of Sir Lucas' attitude.

He entered the living room where Lucas was just sitting down leisurely watching television. The butler cleared his throat to announce the arrival of Sir Lucas' package.

"Ehem…Sir Lucas, your package has arrived. Would you like me to put it on the coffee table?" he said politely.

"No, put it in my bedroom," Lucas replied curtly.

Lucas was embarrassed that the orange box has entered his manor. Even more ashamed of the fact that he is the recipient and owner of the package but he is at his wit's end.

A faint smell of Sara's blood reached his nostrils and it was enough to slightly wash away his humiliation. Thankfully, the orange box has managed to mask the smell, even for just a bit. Otherwise, he might make a fool out of himself in front of his employees.

He could forcefully make Sara sit down and sucked her blood dry like the others but he did not know what is stopping him from doing so. His only excuse was to ensure Sara lived long enough for him to the point where he had enough of her.

He felt extremely self-conscious as he tried to hold back his urges to run to his room to savour his favourite drink. Partly he questioned himself why he would be bothered what his staffs would think of him when he never did in the first place.

'This is torturous! What has Sara done to me?' Lucas berated himself.

He waited until it was nine o'clock in the evening. On normal days it does not matter to him when he chose to enter his bedroom but today, he felt everyone is judging him.

'It used to not matter!!' he screamed silently in agony.

Truth to be told, he brought it upon himself. From his staff point of view, Lucas' actions and behaviour was out of character today. He was too polite, showing concerned when he never did, asking the staff if they want to rest early. Too attentive for their likings.

It invited unnecessary gossips when in fact, only two people knew about the package – the man who delivered the package and the butler.

The moment the grandfather clock strikes nine and chimed, he coughed and cleared his throat – faking a yawn, loudly announcing he is sleepy while stretching his arms. The butler rolled his eyes looking at his master's dramatic and poor acting.

'Just go ahead, Sir Lucas. I might be curious to know why you choose this method but nobody here is going to care,' is what he wanted to say but instead he said, "Good night, Sir Lucas." He bowed slightly as Lucas exited the living room.

"FINALLY! My alone time! Where are you Sara?" he whispered joyously as he tried to find the location of his special package.

He zeroed in and tiptoed his way towards his desk, afraid of the possibility of people listening in to his room. His eyes darted to the doorknob to ensure it has been locked.

Although he knew but he still feel disappointed to see there was only a bag of blood. He sighed dejectedly.

He slowly took his time to spoil his smell factory as he slowly placed his nose close to the bag.

"Aah… the sweet sweet smell, such tantalizing aroma," he said dreamily, lost in his own desires to ravish the blood bag.

When he could not take it any longer, he poked two holes with his teeth into the blood bag. His face scrunched up as soon as he tasted the plastic flavour in his 'drink'. Mixed sensations engulfed him as he leisurely sipped the thick liquid.

Unfortunately like all things, an end is inevitable. However, good things always end quicker than usual. He had reached the very last drop of Sara's blood and he tried to squeeze the liquid out like a thirsty person who has not drunk water for three days.

His tongue quivered as he tried to lick the tiny droplets formed on the punctured hole. He smiled as though he won victoriously in a match but it did not last long. Now he could not help but compare the method of drinking.

Drinking it directly from her was much more satisfying and pleasurable. The way her skin touches his lips as he tried to sink his teeth into her was enough to make him go crazy in comparison to the plastic he bit. The way the thick liquid oozes out of her skin was much more fluid but with the blood bag, he felt like a pre-schooler drinking his yogurt drink out of a straw.

The blood tasted way better when he drank directly from her too. "What could it be? Was it the plastic that really puts me off?" Lucas wondered, trying to weigh in any possibility.

The aftertaste of the blood lingered in his mouth, making him yearn for it more. His cravings grew intense as he wants more but how?
