Aiyana’s words lit again a long-extinguished flame in Viktor as he thought about his wife. Her face bright like the first rays of sun when she woke up. She hardly wore any make – up and even though she though that it made her beautiful it was not what Viktor thought. He always thought she was the prettiest just when she woke up.

Sleep still in her eyes as her moss green irises were dilated to let him gaze into the freckled dark endless gaze. Her cheeks flushed pink because she liked to sleep in the cold. It was something they fought over every night. It was always ending the same way, her kissing his lips as she snatched the remote of the air conditioner from and hid it in the drawer as if he could not reach it but he never would because she would be wearing whichever shirt, he had worn that day and nothing underneath. Her eyes would be lit up with mischief almost daring him to defy her. And her lips… her lips would have that smile.
