"What do you mean?" his jaw dropped upon hearing what Dana said. He knew he did something worth cursing and throwing him off the ground like a sack of rice, but never did it cross his mind that Dana was thinking of ending things between them. 

She sat there with her arms crossed over her body, almost like she is hugging herself as if she is protecting herself. She refused to meet his eyes even when he probed her with questions. It's like she already made her mind even before calling him to have a talk. 

"Muffin, please." he put his elbows on his thighs, leaning forward, but Dana flinched and instinctively leaned back on the huge armchair like she doesn't want to be near him. Grand seeing Dana's reaction he felt his heart torn into two.
