After all the horror and pain, Zen thought that he somehow came across a princess who was kind enough to have mercy on his desperate, loveless heart.
Even though he knew he was not worthy and even though she could have done better - even though she could have had anyone else, she still chose him. And that's not because he did her any favors. It's not because he had a high status, was famous or owned billions in his bank account. It was just simply because she respected who he was and accepted him in all his pitiful, weak and powerless state.
"That was all I ever dreamed of. It's all I could ever hope for," Zen mused with a contented and blissful smile.
He then holds Anastasia tighter in his arms.
She is still here. He wouldn't bear it if she disappeared out of nowhere. He never ever wanted to be away from her.
