"Damn!" Kace cursed under his breath as he glowered at the undead. He could already hear the footsteps of a large crowd headed his way. 

'This isn't good. What do I do?' Kace's mind raced as he tried to decide between retreating and still attempting to strike Constance. 'If that crowd arrives too soon, she can just hide behind them…'

Kace was facing a dilemma. Constance had to be dealt with as soon as possible. But it was unclear if that goal was attainable. There were too many variables to consider, and any of them could spell disaster. Kace grit his teeth as he considered his abilities. 'Should I try using my Beast Mode?'

The last time he had used it, he had remained in control. It was not a terrible option if he could do the same again. The only problem was, he did not know what he would turn into now that his DNA had changed. It may prove too much for him to handle.
