XAVIER'S POV

"Miss, Miss, c- could you please show me the directions to Ophelia's White's room? I- I really need to see her."

As I waited for the uptight receptionist to finish judging my drenched clothes, I looked around. The smell making me want to gag or even just puke but I swallowed. This was getting too much.

Why couldn't this just be a bad dream?

There were nurses and doctors walking around in their blue scrubs and white coats, like they were not just the sole people responsible for someone dying inside. 

I would never be able to handle a pressure like this. 

The fact that you could either save their life or they would die at your hands. And their family would blame just them.

"Uh, okay, Mister. First I would like you to tell me your relationship with the patient. She is currently in the Intensive Care Unit, and only family is allowed to visit."

Family?

I could be her family.
