"So, like, how are you so sure that Luco isn't gonna catch all of us, again?"

I looked back at Nicole and breathed in sharply. This was the first time she had talked to me when we were alone. Until now, either Alexander or Xavier had always been there to lighten the conversation. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to say to his sister.

I swallowed my hesitance quickly and looked back at her

"Uhh, the plan is to not get caught by him. He is supposed to be here at eight. Plus there are no guards. There is a high chance we won't get caught. Further, we are going to submit evidence against him; proving him guilty to the cops. So by the time he does realize that we are gone, he would be sitting in prison."

She looked impressed by the plan, as a sense of pride overcame me. I could hold a genuine conversation with her. Without freaking out or doing something stupid.
