OPHELIA'S POV

Surrounded by four white walls, there was nothing else to do but stare at them. To look at the paint that had started to chip off as time passed, or gouged by other prisoners - anything to pass time, slowly going mad, theorizing absurd meanings from the wall's blank stare.

"Ophelia! Listen, I will be going out for a while. Some important business I need to help Luco with, okay?"

I nodded, still not believing the fake smile he had on. It was probably the first time I had ever seen him this way. I nodded once again, when he didn't leave. What was up with him today?

First the weird smiles and then not handcuffing me the whole day. It was almost twelve thirty in the morning, I had asked him. And when he looked into his phone to check the time, he gasped and told me he had to leave for some reason. 

"You can leave, Alexander. I already nodded. It's fine."
