"Is there a problem with that?" Mia's father said, looking at the uninvited guest. "We are qualified enough to be In-Laws with Knights."

"And what qualification are you talking about?" Mrs. Sheldon raised her eyebrows as she looked at the Black family. "Your background or the fortune which your daughter might share with her step-siblings?"

Mia's father's hand tightened on his teacup. He wanted to say something but was unable to come with a reply.

"Mia is not the only one with step-siblings in the world. So that shouldn't be a problem." Mr. Black said as he looked at Mrs. Sheldon. 

"Haa haa … That is true." Mrs. Knight laughed it off to ease the tension. She did not know what was going on between Sheldon and Black, but she knew it was not a result of Kyle's decision.

"But I still think marriage is a step which the children should discuss on their own." Mrs. Knight looked at her husband, who continued her words.
