For Lily....
This is a little poem that I wrote after one week of Lily leaving me forever. I am sharing it here with you.

Lily,
She was like, a sister small,
Blue eyes, small tailed furry ball.
She came in here in a little box,
From a wish I made hanging some socks.
I saw her, cried, Taking her in my arms,
Vowing to save her from many harms.
We went on playing for years to come,
She started to run then fell on her bum.
She got so high, then fell in a pit,
Then came to know it was catnip.
Her one two three was my six seven eight,
In just three years, she put on some weight.
Hungry she was, meow she said,
Sleepy she was, she came in my bed.
The years went by, we love so much,
I still remember her pillowy touch.
In my arms, around the neck,
She was like a pirate, standing on the deck.
Her cute little voices are still in my head,
Like those scratches around on my neck.
The years went by, she got more old,
Like a little baby having a cold.
More precious than silver, more so than gold,
She was so good, so positive and bold.
Like some fudge on top of some cream,
She was so good, even in my dream.
The years went by, she got too old,
Late we realised, it wasn't a cold.
Was seventeen years, really too old???
The next thing I knew, I was alone,
In my bed, even on my phone.
I cried and cried as we said goodbye,
Even in her end, her spirit was high.
I say this now, you were truly a friend,
More so a sister, till the end.
In the garden we played, our moments were best,
I say goodbye, for your eternal rest.
