Even though they had just met, he saw Lia as a unique and interesting girl, or maybe part of his personality was, he's easily attached to women, "Ah, that makes sense, you are a beautiful girl, Lia." He gave her a flirtatious look.

He thought that Lia would be affected, but no. 

When she looked away from him, Jayce felt that she was uncomfortable with his compliment, so he just asked, "What is your boyfriend like?"

"Well, my boyfriend is handsome. He's very protective of me, and he has those six-pack abs," Lia told him, and he flinched when he heard that the guy had six-pack abs.

He felt that he wouldn't beat the guy in terms of physical attributes.
