"So what is this dream of yours exactly?" asked Fujitora.
"Freedom."
"And how are you going to achieve that freedom?"
"Do you really think that I'd tell you so easily? But if you submit to me, I'd be happy to tell you."
"Don't be ridiculous, you pirate scum! And shut up Fujitora, don't ask any useless. It's just a waste of our time," said Sakazuki.
"Purururu, purururu."
Ken grabbed the ringing Den Den Mushi from his pocket and answered it.
"Yo, Dragon."
"Hello, Azure Ken."
The Marines were completely shocked. Weren't Ken and Dragon on bad terms? And why did Dragon call him?
"How is it going over there, Dragon."
"We're almost done taking out half of the East Blue Marine basses. Having Robert's help sure makes everything easier."
"That's good to hear. But don't overwork Robert. These guys aren't going anywhere. You just have to be careful of Garp and Tsuru. I don't know where they are."
"Don't worry about people that are well over their prime. Just keep those guys busy, and we'll take care of our part. We'll be done in a week max."
"Alright, I'll leave it up to you them. But I do wish you were here to see their faces. It's hilarious."
"Wait, they can hear us?"
"Yup."
"You buffoon, now they know our plan, us doing this stealthy has been a waste of time."
"Who cares about being stealthy anyway. Having all the eyes on me is good enough. And it's not like any of these guys have a Den Den Mushi anymore."
The Marines quickly put their hands in their pockets, but they couldn't find any Den Den Mushi. They were all shocked that they didn't notice him stealing them.
"Tsk, you're still giving me headaches. Don't think I'll forget what you did at Marineford!"
"Yeah, yeah. I need to go, so I'll talk to you later, babe."
"You-"
"Cacha."
Ken hanged up on Dragon before he could say anything. Ken looked down at the Marines, who didn't know what they should do or think.
"Let me make this simple for you guys. The only reason any of you are still breathing is because I allowed you to. So if any of you tries to escape, I'll kill you. And even if you split up, I have my crew waiting around here, so good luck trying to escape."
"Azure Ken, do you think the 5 Elders will sit still while you bastards run amok!" screamed Haia.
"5? Oh, they haven't told you?"
"Told us what?"
"Ask your Fleet Admiral. He seems to know what I mean."
"That doesn't matter. We don't need the Elders. I'll kill you myself!" screamed Sakzuki as he ran towards Ken. He swung his fist at him, sending a stream of molten lava towards him. Ken jumped up, dodging the lava and sending sword slashes back at him. But Sakazuki easily blocked them.
"Gravito!" shouted Fujitora.
An immense pressure pressed down onto Ken, which created a massive and deep hole underneath him. Ken got sent pressed down into the hole at an incredible speed, and Sakazuki sent magma attacks into the hole, till it completely filled up.
"Let's immediately head to Mary Geoise!" ordered Sakazuki. But before any of them could move, someone presses a sword against Sakazuki's neck from behind.
"Don't you understand what 'I won't let you leave' means?"
The Marines looked shocked at Ken who suddenly appeared in their mids.
"You bastard! Get away from my master!" screamed Hisaki.
"Sakazuki, let me talk to Garp. I need to tell him something."
"Not happening, you scum."
"Don't you understand your current situation?"
"I understand that I'll never listen to a damn pirate! Even if it costs me my life!"
"Is that so? How unfortunate. I thought that we could talk it out and be friends, but it seems like that won't ever happen." Ken hardened Shusui with Haki. "Goodbye, Red Dog."
"DON'T YOU DARE!" Hisaki let out an ear-deafening scream that shook the whole island. Ken suddenly lost concentration, and Sakazuki took that chance to kick him away. Ken landed back on the ground with a smile on his face.
"To think you too have that Haki. You really do remind me of that brat."
"I'm going to kill you!"
Hisaki ran towards Ken. His body started shaking, and his speed suddenly increased exponentially. He appeared in front of Ken and punched him in the gut, making the entire island shake again. However, Ken didn't move an inch back. He grabbed Hisaki's head and smashed it into his knee. Ryokugyu swung his sword at Ken's head, but he easily dodged it and placed his palm on Ryokugyu's hip.
"Busoshoku Haki: Emission."
"ARGH!"
Ryokugyu got sent flying. Ken, who is still holding onto Hisaki's head, smashed it into his knee again before he could retaliate. The other 3 Marines also went on the attack, but all of their attacks got easily dodged while Ken kept beating Hisaki. Sakazuki even tried to hit Ken through Hisaki's body, but Ken took Hisaki out of the way and blocked Sakazuki's attack with his leg.
"So much for being his master. Let me teach all of you how to behave like a proper monster."
---
It's already a day later, and Ken is sitting on top of a small mountain of 4 unconscious bodies. He is still holding Hisaki by his head.
"Please just kill me! You've already won, so just kill me!"
"Hm? Why would I do that? Don't you have people in your village waiting for your safe return?"
"Why do you care about that! And no, nobody is waiting for me! They've already forgotten about what you bastards did and told me not to pursue it!"
"You should have listened to them. Look how you ended up. The person you wanted to kill so badly has defeated your master and his underlings while using barely any of his powers."
"If you don't kill me now, I swear that I'll become stronger than you and anyone else in this world. Then I'll make sure to kill you after seeing the regret in your eyes of not having killed me when you had the chance."
"Yeah, that's how it goes most of the time. The villain takes away everyone the hero cares about, and the villain keeps him alive for his own amusement, only for him to be killed by the hero later on. Unfortunately for you, this is no fairy tale, this is real life, and in real life, the villains can end up victorious. Just look at Mary Geoise, and you'll know enough. And it's not like I'll live long enough for you to become strong enough to kill me anyway."
"Do you really think that highly of yourself! It doesn't matter how long it takes! As long as my heart is still beating, I'll keep training till the day I surpass and kill you!"
Ken threw Hisaki away.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just fuck off already. I doubt that you really care about being a Marine, so Dragon won't be able to get mad at me letting you go."
"Do you really think that I'll leave this easily!"
"Stop screaming. It's starting to hurt my ears."
"Vibrating Punch!"
Hisaki's hand started vibrating so fast that it almost looked like it didn't move. He ran towards Ken and swung his fist at him. However, before he could get close enough, a cane grabbed his neck and threw him on the ground. The cane's end sped towards Hisaki's head.
"Stop, Laffitte!"
Just before the cane hit Hisaki's forehead, it stopped.
"Captain, may I know what is going on here?"
"Nothing much. I'm just playing pirate."
"And why are you asking me to spare him?"
"I don't like killing kids."
"But I'm the one who is going to do it."
"Same thing."
"Sigh. Celine asked me to bring you lunch, but I wasn't expecting you to be so far away."
Laffitte walked towards Ken and handed him the lunch box. It was only then that he noticed what Ken was using as his seat.
"Wait, this is Marineford! Captain, what are you really doing here?"
"Don't tell me that thing about your crewmates having surrounded Marineford was a lie!" screamed Hisaki.
"Damn, Celine's food never misses. It tastes so good."
Ken completely ignored Laffite and Hisaki. He was only focused on the food.
Earlier that day, the newspaper's headline was:
