[Garp P.O.V.
3 days later]
"Sir, Garp! The island is in sight!' said one of my subordinates
I looked at the island.
'You brats have grown up, huh. I should have punched you idiots harder to make you into marines. Even Luffy has become a pirate. Tsk, what a hopeless family.'
We docked our ship on the island, and while I was walking off the ship, nobody followed me.
"What are you idiots waiting for?"
"But this is the Azure Pirates base. We could be walking to our deaths." said one of my subordinates, and the rest nodded in fear.
'Hopeless bunch.'
"Then stay here. I don't need you guys anyway."
I walked off the ship. I didn't look back and just walked towards the main road. While I was walking, I got a lot of glares. When I started to get deeper into the city, a little boy stood in front of me and began throwing rocks.
"You bastards! Because of you, my mother got killed by those damn criminals! Weren't you supposed to be serving justice and protecting the people!? If it wasn't for Lord Ken, all of us would still be living in hell! You're no different than devils! Just throwing us away like garbage."
I didn't say anything and kept walking.
"Thunk!"[SFX: Stone hitting empty skull]
A woman suddenly threw a stone against my head.
"You heathen! How dare you show your face around here!"
After that, more stones started coming my way from all over the place. I just gritted my teeth and kept walking.
'They're right; it is our fault. So I have no choice but to accept it.'
I walked past the little boy who is crying with a picture frame in his hand.
'If Akainu hasn't finished that bastard off, I'll take care of it.'
When I arrived in front of the palace gates, I was covered in blood. Two people are standing at the gates glaring at me.
"No marines are allowed here." said one of them
"Tell the brat that Garp is here."
They unsheathed their weapons.
"Even if you're a Vice-Admiral, don't think we will let you go after disrespecting our Captain!"
An old man suddenly appeared behind them.
"Old man Shoichi!" x2
(He is the old man who Ken recruited on Risky island. Along with Akari and the rest. He throws needles.)
'Hm? Is this guy also a part of his crew. He's definitely not a pushover.'
"You must be Garp. Captain told me to not let you in if you're coming as a marine."
"Sigh, that brat is so annoying."
I took off my coat and threw it to the old man.
"If I come back and find it damaged or something else bad happened to it, call your days numbered."
Before he could reply, I disappeared from my position and appeared on a balcony. I opened the door connected to the balcony and walked into the throne room. I looked at Sabo, Ace, and Ken. Ken is sitting on a huge black and blue throne.
"Oh, old man. What are you doing here? Long time no see."
"You bastard, taste my FIST OF LOVE!"
I appeared in front of him and hit him on his head.
"AAHH!"
"How's that, you brat!"
"Pfft."
I heard Ace and Sabo giggling, so I also hit them with a fist of love. I looked at them satisfied when two big bulges came out of their foreheads.
"Sigh, we see each other after a long time, and this is how you greet us. You're still a mean old man. So what did you come here for?"
"You know the bastard behind this, right?"
"You mean the Vice-Admiral?"
"No, the one above him."
"Nah, I didn't really care about that. I'm the enemy of the world, so I doubt that it was anyone that doesn't already want me dead."
"Tsk, so I came all the way here for nothing."
"Hahaha, you're a funny guy. Even if you knew, it wouldn't make a difference. Like you'd dare to hurt a Celestial Bastard."
"So you do know."
"I don't have anything more to say to a marine."
"But I took my coat off."
"The only idiot stupid enough to fall for that would be Luffy. Now that you know that you've wasted your time, just leave already."
"He really wants you to stay, so how about a couple of drinks." said Sabo
"Yeah, a couple of drinks wouldn't hurt." said Ace
Ken frowned.
"Tsk, I already wasted my time, so there is no need to waste more of it on pirate brats."
"Sigh, since you came all the way here, you might as well stay a couple more days. Or are you afraid that the citizen will haunt you in your dreams if you stay here long enough?"
I froze.
[Ken P.O.V.]
Garp froze after I read his mind.
"GAAARP!"
Devon suddenly stormed into the throne room.
"Ugly hag!?"
'They know each other? I guess he must be the reason she was imprisoned.'
She unsheathed her sword and ran towards Garp. Garp used Haki on his arm and got ready to fight.
"Devon." said Sabo
She immediately stopped in her tracks.
"Garp is Ken's guest, so wouldn't it be rude to attack him?"
"B, but this bastard was the one that locked me up. And looking at how injured he is, he must have become much weaker. This is my chance."
"So this is the kind of people you surround yourself with. I thought that the missing Level 6 prisoners from Impel Down escape somewhere else, but to think they've joined you." said Garp
"Ey old man, don't judge my crewmates. Devon is a nice person to be around, as long as there is no pretty woman in the vicinity." said Ace
"You know, if we were to team up, I bet we could take the old man down. He is deep in our territory, so we could actually pull it off. How cool would it be if we wiped arguably the strongest marine off this planet. I'd wonder how Sengoku would react."
Devon looked happy, but the other three were shocked.
"You're not actually going to do it, are you?" asked Sabo
I looked at Garp and smiled.
"I was just joking. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have made it this far. He is the only reason the Azure Pirates exist."
"Yeah, you're right. It's my fault this happened."
He cracked his knuckles.
"So let me correct my MISTAKES!"
He came at me with his fist, ready to punch my head off.
'The Fist of Love. If it was the past me, I would have already given up hope. But these 2 years have done me good.'
I stood up from my new throne and started walking towards the charging Garp. He came swinging with his right arm. I crouch down a little and then launched myself towards him. I dodged to the left, making his fist pass my face by a hair. As his fist was passing by my face, I had my right fist ready. I punched him straight on his face sending him flying back.
Or that's what I wanted to happen, but he managed to block it at the last second. He still got sent flying. He landed, and I could see blood dripping from his nose.
"Straight through my guard, ey. Well, I guess I am a bit rusty."
He started stretching.
"Just give me a second, and I'll show you why you were never able to touch me when you were still learning under me."
"Because I did that on purpose."
"Huh?"
He stopped stretching.
"Since I knew from the beginning that I wasn't going to become a marine, I held back whenever you were watching. Can't give my enemy any information after all."
"Murunfuffuffu, you sure fooled that idiot good, Captain!" said Devon
Garp had a disappointed look on his face.
"But me betraying Marine Hero Garp has nothing to do with Monkey D. Garp. To me, they're two different people."
He stood up and wiped the blood from his nose.
"You brats should all be careful. Sengoku will end all of you if you mess up even once. That spy that you've hidden won't be ranked high enough to get access to anything about you. So don't rely on that."
"Wow, the marine hero is helping pirates. What would the Sengoku think of that." said Ace
"Tsk. I'm here as Monkey D. Garp, aren't I? You'd better stay away from Marine Hero Garp. I heard that he won't show you guys any mercy."
"Thanks for your concern, old man."
He started to walk towards the balcony.
"Oh yeah, you came here to find out who that Celestial bastard was. His name is Saint Rosward. I'm good friends with his son, so give him my regards when you see him."
He didn't say anything and disappeared.
"Why did you help the enemy?" asked Devon
"Well, two things can happen. Either Rosward gets punished. Which I doubt would happen. Or, Garp gets punished if he does something stupid. So isn't that good for us?"
"I haven't thought about it like that. Captain sure thinks ahead."
"Forget about thinking ahead. You actually hit him." said Ace
"I can't believe it, even though I saw it. The untouchable man has just been touched." said Sabo
"It's nothing special. He wasn't serious at all."
"And what if he was serious? Do you think you could take him?" asked Robert, who appeared out of the shadows.
I smiled.
"Let's stop talking about the old man. We need to finish up so that we can get back on our journey."
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the One Piece." said Sabo
"Who cares about the One Piece? All I want is to test out my new strength." said Ace
"I'm always here if you want to fight."
He started sweating.
"Oh shit, I forgot that I had an appointment. I need to go now."
He disappeared, and so did the rest after making bad excuses.
"Sigh, they can be such cowards sometimes."
"Captain, the marines have left the island." said Mura while being hidden
(The female with purple hair. She uses daggers and got recruited at the same time as old man Shoichi, Akari, and the rest.)
'She's amazing. It would be impossible to find her without good Haki. I heard that Laffitte has been teaching here some stealth skills.'
"You sure?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good job. You can leave now."
"Yes, sir."
She disappeared without making a sound.
