Ben was seated by the dressing table after freshening up as Joan fixed his makeup.

He needed to call his mother before dinner. He didn't want to be caught off guard. After what happened earlier today, he wasn't sure he could stay here any longer than necessary, except, of course, his mother was ready for the truth to be discovered.

He had been more than relieved when Dan said he was leaving because something urgent came up and he needed to take care of it, but his relief had been cut short when Nicole had taken them to the royal boutique to get dresses for the welcome party they'd be throwing for the Princess during their tour.

On Nicole's insistence, he had gone in to try on a dress, and Nicole had almost barged in while he was still changing, claiming that they were both females and could share the room.

Thank God for Drake and Joan, who had distracted her. What would he have done?
