Narrator's POV

(Year 1919)

It was a spring afternoon, peaceful and quiet. With rustling of new leaves, and the fresh air it was indeed the best time to be alive. Of course for the ones who were actually living. For the dead, they have seen better.

In the middle of the woods a man almost in his late thirties ran through the forest searching for someone. That someone who was spotted by this man mere seconds ago seemed highly suspicious, who managed to escape him. 

It was a long shot, but this man was persistent. The town knew him as Sherriff Montez. He was idolized by many, respected by almost everyone. Everyone except a few people the ones whom he had failed.

A sudden sharp pain was felt by him in his left flank, and soon enough everything turned black for him. He woke up amidst the fallen leaves, where his face was almost buried on the ground. He woke up to find a woman dressed in black looking at him as if he was waiting for him.
