Hugo stealthily moved around the house searching for everyone else to test the effectiveness of his newly activated second-level Cloak of Thanatos.

To his delight, his presence was not discovered by Ali-Baba, Miss Fox, and Tracy who were all in the backyard enjoying the afternoon sun. They showed no reaction even when he was within arm's reach.

The enhanced version of the Cloak was pretty much perfect. The spell shoved Hugo deeper into the space between realities, making it impossible for even a peak mystic queen like Tracy to detect him. He could spy on any scene, like a child peeking through a crack in the door, but remain concealed.

"Do you think this could enable me to escape the senses of the Matriarch or Constantine?" Hugo asked Freya on the way back to his attic room.
