Hugo stood amongst the students gathered within a Dark Church outpost enclosed by a grey barrier on the outskirts of the Dark Forest.

The long-awaited day of the combat and survival exam had finally arrived.

All the participants except Hugo seemed to be around the age of fourteen. They quietly lined up before the two mystic monarchs that were deeply engrossed in conversation.

Hugo recognized a few familiar faces in the group. Nadia and Leona who had both taken part in the Eclista expedition four years back were also taking the graduation exam. Their friends Amanda and Camilla, whom he had followed into the Arena on the day of Annah's death-match with the Beast, were present as well.
