章節 34: Chapter 34
With the match ended Karasuno were feeling the sense of defeat. They didn't get up. They were just in the floor. Daiki got up and started replaying everything in his mind but there wear no tears from the loss.
He looked at his teammates and helped them up. No words were spoken as they got up and went through the ending.
Daiki and Tendou meet and shook hands.
" It was a nice match. " Tendou said.
" Yeah it was. I'll come back for revenge during the spring tournament. "
" If you didn't I would come to your house and beat your ass. "
They chuckled before leaving with their teams.

During the bus ride everyone was silent. No one spoke. Takeda drove the bus but was silent. Coach Ukai had a blank expression. No sadness or happiness was scene on his face.
" Hey specs we there yet? "
" Yep we're here. "
" Good everyone get butts of the seat and follow me. " Coach said.
Everyone listened and got off the bus. They got off and saw themselves in front of Day in Day out. They headed inside and saw that the place was empty.
" Tobi been awhile. "
" Yes it has Ukai. "
" Coach why are we here? " asked Asahi.
" To enjoy a meal. "
" Why? "
" Simple. You'll grow stronger. We may have lost today but we will win our next match with them. We will go to nationals. Loss is something that happens in sports in life. You can't be down after one loss. You have to pick yourselves up and move forward. To do this I decided to treat to some food. "
Everyone looked at their coach. Their faces were stained from crying but right now more tears started dropping they went to the tables and started eating.
It was bitter sweet. Most of them had tears from the loss. During the bus ride most of them just remembered the match. All the plays they made it was replay. They saw each play over and over again.
They had thoughts about what they should have done. They know they can't change what's already happened but they kept imagining what would have happened if they did.
Coach Ukai just watched as they ate. He was there with them till that point. Even he remembered the whole game. Every play they made. But he wasn't as down as them. After playing so many games his mind became a fortress.
He has also experienced loss. In his youth when he played volleyball he lost matches as well so he knows the feeling.
' They will become stronger. Once I'm done with them. Karasuno will rise back to the number 1 spot.Looks I'll have to get to in touch with an old cat. For now though let them enjoy. ' He thought as he watched his team eat until they no longer could.
They all went home back to their rooms and played on their bed. They thought about the match for little while longer before going to sleep.
