Later that day
Laura got a call from Emily that Elijah was sick and that she and jakes must come.
Jakes was attending a work function with Susan. He got calls from his wife and ignored them.
Susan kissed Jakes and he let her.
Jakes said "I'm married, how could you do this?"
Susan said "you came here with me not your wife, relax just have fun."
He got calls from Emily and he rushed to the hospital. Laura was also on her way to the hospital.
Emily said "where were you, you look terrible."
Jakes said "is my son okay?"
Emily said "he will be fine the doctor said he has a fever and will be discharge just waiting for the doctor. Where is Laura?"
Jakes said "Home, work or church I don't know."
Emily said "you don't know where your wife is, I'm surprise she is not here, she loves Elijah and treats him like her son."
Jakes said "I know she is wonderful with kids."
Emily said" it is not just that, your wife changed my life, I don't know many people like her caring and still humble even though she is wealthy."
Jakes said "she is."
Emily said "what's wrong with you, if you are not careful you will lose a good woman."
Jakes was notified by the insurance company that his wife was in a car accident while coming to the hospital to see Elijah Jakes's son.
Jake's said " This cant be true."
Emily said "what's going on?"
Jakes said "Laura was in a car accident while coming here."
Emily said "that's terrible, let's pray and hope she will be fine."
Jakes said" she was coming here God what did I do, I was horrible to her and yet she still cares much about my son."
Eric's Father, Eric and his now wife Sofia, Evelin were there waiting for the doctor.
Eric's Father said "please lord, let her come back to us."
Evelin said "she is strong, healthy and young she will wake up."
Eric said "jakes where were you, I was talking to her before the accident, how she wants to save her marriage."
Sofia said "honey, this is not the time."
Eric said "everyone here can see he is a mess, smelling alcohol and that perfume probably not your wife's. "
Evelin said "enough, I won't let you attack my brother, can't you see he is hurting too."
Eric said "that's guilt eating him up."
Eric's Father said "stop it Eric, we are all worried about her so let's not fight and we need to be united now."
The doctor said "she has broken ribs, and she will be using a wheelchair her right leg, and thigh was badly damaged but she will walk again it will take time."
Laura said "where am I?"
Jakes said "hospital you were in a car accident."
Laura said "my body hurts, my legs why can't I move properly?"
Jakes said "take it easy you are hurt, the scars will heal and you will walk again soon I promise. "
Laura said "please give me a mirror, my face feels wired."
Jakes said "it's the bandage, the scars will heal honey, just rest I will come to see you tomorrow."
Laura said "you promise you won't leave me jakes I was scared our marriage was over."
Jakes said" I love you so much I would not leave you darling, just you and I forever. just rest don't stress over anything."
Laura said "I need to tell you something I love… "
She was sedated, she fall asleep
Jakes said "I love you too, though of losing you please forgive me sweetheart."
Devil is in no hurry, he takes his time to work out his plan, always looking for something to use. Jakes frustration, disappointed and feeling unappreciated. Not listened to. There was Susan, listening to him when he talks and telling him he is a good man. That Laura does not treat him better and all these things he was supposed to hear from his wife. Turn the bad into good, because we get caught in our own issues, be stubborn not listen to God's voice, sometimes it takes things like a car accident to get over yourself, humble yourself, repent and realise what matters most.
