章節 50: Chapter Fifty
After 5 years
5 years they been married now they had their own home, companies were successful and had their ups and downs but life was exciting doing this thing called life with God was great. We write down our plans, dreams and life happens. At this age I want to have this and that only to find out what we hoped for will be delayed not that it won't happen but it won't happen the way you plan. God's plans are bigger than ours not there to harm us but it did not feel that way to the young couple.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you , plans to give you the hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
Laura said "we talked about having kids, we should be parents by now, we planned this and I'm 26 years now."
Jakes said "honey, will have to see a doctor tell us what's wrong."
Laura said "I hope is nothing serious we are young healthy, we work out eat well, what could possibly be wrong."
They went to see the doctor
The doctor told them that Laura can fall pregnant but won't be able to carry the baby full term for 9 months.
Laura telling the doctor "I will have kids I will carry them I'm not in denial God will do it for me, nothing too hard for God, you can look at me like I'm crazy but I know God will perform this miracle."
*she sounded like someone who has faith will she keep this up. Have faith and believing. She went to see her friend well she had friends now.*
Laura said " everywhere I go , I just see babies healthy gorgeous babies why would God do this to me, I'm trying to be strong but I take out my anger to my husband. "
Cynthia said "I know it's hard you must tell him how you feel he must also not be taking this well."
Laura said "he doesn't want to talk about kids, I didn't want to have kids but here I am crying to have them. I have faith but sometimes I talk or act like someone who doesn't believe in miracles or God, am I not a good Christian?"
Cynthia said "you are child of God not perfect, you just need to remain in God, and be rooted let God be the foundation you won't be shaken."
Laura said "Thank you friend, let me go home to my husband."
*home to husband*
Jakes said "where have you been I thought you and I will be having lunch with Elijah. He was disappointed that you didn't come."
Laura said "I went to talk to Cynthia and I choose to have faith and not let fear drive me crazy, will have kids darling I believe."
Jakes said "I am so glad you can talk about this, to your friends and not your husband."
Laura said "we are talking right now, you should know what I want or how I feel and should I keep telling you? "
Jakes said "the problem with you, communication, just communicate with me I don't read mind's honey you're just asking for the impossible."
Laura said "well, we pray for the impossible to be possible, so go pray figure it out and stop yelling at me I am not a child."
Jakes said "you act like one avoiding conflicts, can't communicate well all this because of your child hood. Your parents are dead but still I have to deal with what they did to you."
Laura said" if you don't want to be married anymore just say it."
Jakes said "every time we fight you say such things what is wrong with you."
Laura said" I'm the problem here, you have a child with someone else I want to give you kids you don't understand how hard it is sometimes."
Jakes said" you don't talk to me you tell everyone how you feel except your husband and what am I to you Laura?"
Communication
Laura went to therapy, couple counselling alone talking to her pastor. Things were not going well for the young couple, she realise that she needed help on how to communicate with her husband. The mistake this young couple were doing, is to assume your spouse feels the same way you do, that he or she must know what you're going through, how you feel without telling them. No one can read mind's, you can tell when someone is happy or not happy, moody or not but you can't go beyond that. What is going on in your spouse head that you can only get or know when he or she decides to tell you. The guessing game can be frustrating, why is it hard to say what's in our heart, talk about our feelings how we feel?
*She was doing everything trying to fix her marriage get it to better days and was it too late now.*
Temptation
But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.

Susan said "happy birthday Mr Smith."
Jakes said "how many times should I tell you Susan, to call me jakes."
Susan said" okay, jakes I got you a gift."
Jakes said "Thank you I love it."
Susan said "I knew you will like it, your wife didn't forget this time."
Jakes said "I'm sure there's a surprise for me at home."
Susan said "I hope so, it's about time she start appreciating a good man like you."
Jakes said "she works hard and ....."
Susan said "you are making excuses for her, I hear your conversation with her just about her and what she wants and what about you?"
Jakes said "maybe you are right."
Susan said "I hope I'm wrong, and that there's a big surprise for you. My man knows I make sure I spoil him and go all out to make him feel appreciated not only on his birthday."
*it was jakes birthday*
Laura said "babe, happy birthday my love you won't believe the day I had, driving to all these offices and did you get the emails?"
Jakes said "you forgot my birthday again."
Laura said "No, I didn't I have a surprise for you."
Jakes said "where is it?"
Laura said "tomorrow at 10 am can't tell you all the details, you will love it."
Jakes said "you can't tell me because there's no surprise."
Laura said "trust me babe, I would not lie to you and have I?"
Jakes said "my employees, friends treat me better than my wife."
Laura said "our employees, what are you talking about I didn't forget let me call my assistant josh, and he will tell you there's a surprise for you he help me plan it."
Jakes said "of course he will say anything you are his boss, not only did you forgot you're a liar now."
Laura said "I know I have disappointed you in the past but now it's different I plan a week trip to Singapore to watch formula one and that's not all darling"
Jakes said "you think I'm an idiot you can just plan this now, or call your travel agent to plan everything."
Laura said "I don't know what to say love."
Jakes said "I'm going to bed."
Laura said "you can't go to bed angry, come please let's pray and talk about this."
Jakes said "I should always do what you tell me to do, I'm exhausted and God knows I try to be a good husband to you. Please sleep in the guestroom or whatever I can't share a bed with you not tonight."
Laura's friends were here to help her out
Angel said "what do you want us to do for you?"
Laura said "I think I'm losing my husband."
Joy said "girl you are rich and powerful, what more do you need just let him go."
Eve said "she is married and made vows before God, you on the other hand you don't believe in love or God."
Angel said "joy does not get it, success is not everything. We love because he first love us, God's love is incredible."
Joy said "what that has to do with marriage?"
Eve said "everything, we need to learn to love each other the way God intended us to."
Angel said "when God said let them be one, two lives merging you know we are different you might have things in common with your spouse and still have differences."
Eve said "yes, how you want to raise your kids, love, views on money and it is so incredible what God can do when we are willing to put in the work."
Joy said "we are here to help Laura about saving her marriage, not peaching to me about the story of marriage and that it has to do with God, being one blah blah blah!"
Angel said "that's why you're single joy."
Joy said "because of I don't believe in love and your stories on marriage, how many people read stories about marriages, love. Still miserable in their marriages look Laura is so stress out about jakes where he is?"
Eve said" how about you read the word of God, you want to know what love is know God everything you need is in the word of God."
Angel said "why do we bother with you joy?"
Eve said "it's like talking to a wall, you don't want to be vulnerable with someone afraid of getting hurt and that's pretty much hurting yourself we see you girl."
Joy said "what if my needs are not meet and I'm not getting the love?"
Angel said "Marriage is so wonderful when you keep giving the love, instead of taking. When you are both giving and loving each other instead of focusing on me and what I want."
Eve said "it is not your spouse job to keep you happy that is the truth people don't want to hear. Let God pour out his love on you, then pour out that love to your spouse and looking around to fill your needs is a sin."
Joy said "you all make it sounds simple."
Angel said "Marriage is hard twice as hard if you don't have Jesus, Tom my husband knows I love him, and that if he leaves me I will still be fine without him."
Joy said "let me guess because you have Jesus."
Eve said "yes, you can take away everything but you can't take Jesus away from me and the peace I have. "
Angel said "Laura, we totally forgot about you sorry."
Laura said "its fine you were helpful."
Joy said "really, you just saying that and I can hack jakes find out what is going on with him or place tracking devices just say the word. I will do it I'm your head of IT after all."
Angel said" that's invasion of privacy joy what about trust?"
Joy said "nothing wrong with that just technology making our lives better and being helpful for such situations. Trust will leave you broke and homeless back to the hood."
Laura said" you all been so helpful will catch up ladies thanks for coming and joy don't do that I will fire you."
Joy said "your friend what about loyalty girl any way good luck with jakes I won't hack him I love my salary more than my job."
Laura said "nice to know joy bye."
Loving each other the way God intended. 1 Corinthians 13 the famous chapter about love, Laura was reading it. "It's not self -seeking, it is not easily angered" thinking about how she kept wanting thing's to be done her way. Calling her husband to come home to try make a baby, baby talks and not giving love to her husband, only wanting to receive it and easily getting mad when things didn't go her way. She could choose to be mad, her husband is not home or try to fix things and own up to some of the things she did. "I pushed away my husband, I have been selfish and I didn't appreciate him, can't blame him for not trusting me. God please help me to be a Good wife, I promise I will listen to the Holy Spirit I won't be stubborn"
Laura called Eric
Eric said "hey I miss you sister."
Laura said "I miss you too, I wish I call you to catch up but I need help my marriage is falling apart."
Eric said "what happened my sister?"
Laura said "I think I am losing jakes, I was talking about wanting kids all the time, and I was struggling to communicate well with him."
Eric said "I will talk to him."
Laura said "Thank you big brother, he doesn't trust me anymore, I did plan his birthday surprise but he thinks I am lying."
Eric said "you will have to earn his trust, I will come and see you tomorrow."
Laura said "I will appreciate that, things are really bad Eric I ask myself why did we get married so young and I don't know anymore."
Eric said "because you love him stop focusing on what he is doing wrong and what you want him to do. Just think of the reasons why you married him, what you appreciate about him and I'm sure there's one or two. Those reasons are good enough to fight for him."
Laura said "the list is long he is patient caring has crazy sense of humour always trying to make me smile and laugh at his bad jokes. Amazing father to Elijah, why was I not seeing this and appreciate him for this. Well, I know what to do I will get my man back."
Eric said "it is easy to focus on the bad things than appreciate the little things your partner does and things will be fine sister go get your man."
You know things are bad really bad when you start to question why you got married in the first place. Can't find just one thing you appreciate about your spouse that's bad. Thinking he or she is bad I deserve better than this. While you just have a good partner at home who loves you and you keep complaining over the same stuff. Not appreciating what they do, what do you love about your partner, what are those little things he or she does and don't get credit for. What is one thing you know you can't get from someone else in the planet earth only your partner does it. Life is so complicated and love shouldn't be. If your partner would die today what you would wish you did or had a chance to do?
