The profound ships that were attacking Ji Yuan and the other cultivators were now shifting toward the smaller flotilla that were attacking them.

Ji Yuan knows that the profound cannons that were onboard the profound ships were now shifting toward the new threat and won't be aiming at him anymore. 

He was quite anxious for the smaller flotilla that had appeared as the sheer size of the floating citadel of the Evil Cultivation Palace made it quite impossible to take it down anytime soon. In fact, he could see that the profound cannons of the attacking flotilla were all halted by an invisible barrier that protected the Evil Cultivation Palace. 

The attacking flotilla did have some success though in bringing down several of the profound ships from the Evil Cultivation Palace since they were unable to retaliate in time.
