章節 35: Confession
As everyone was looking at them, Yingjie still didn't understand the situation and he simply chuckled at Shao Rong's question. "Of course he is very famous. Almost all the girls in the university had a crush on him. But because of that first proposal no one dared to propose to him again."
He suddenly raised his head and looked at Shao Rong and asked curiously, "Miss Shao, isn't Weimin that famous in his school? I thought he was always famous but listening to your words no one actually confessed their love to him in school." He couldn't understand how a handsome man like Weimin was never confessed to in a school where all puppy loves would start. "Even if no one confessed, that Teddy should have confessed right? Our Weimin is not a person who would go and chase a girl after all."
Shao Rong didn't know if she should laugh or cry at this situation. "Of course he is very famous in the school but everyone called him big brother and no girls dared to confess to him looking at his cold face. Teddy would be the only silly girl who was with this expressionless man."
Looking at the frozen Ren Weimin, Yingjie nodded his head thinking that he really is cold faced and expressionless. "No wonder, no one dared to confess to him."
"What happened when he was actually confessed to?" She asked steering the topic back to the original question.
"Oh, you know she was the college beauty right? So she was so full of herself and thought that no one would reject her. So she gathered a lot of people and confessed in front of almost all the college students. Once she confessed, Weimin immediately refused with a single 'No' without waiting for a heartbeat."
"If he just said No, how would everyone know Teddy?" Shao Rong questioned again. As she looked at Weimin who was calmly listening to everything as if the story had nothing to him, his reddened ears betrayed him.
"Well, after he said No, he immediately turned around to leave but she grabbed his hand and asked the reason for rejecting her and if she was not beautiful enough." Yingjie reminisced the entire story without missing a single detail like her holding his hand too. His words clearly stated that the entire scene was really etched into his mind permanently. After all, how many years has it been since the first year of university. Nearly a decade. But still he remembered every simple detail.
Everyone around bent forward a little to listen to the continuation of the story with so much curiosity that they were about to fall down from their seats but no one cared.
That is when Weimin decided to interrupt, "Yingjie, I guess you need to stop it now."
Everyone heard his cold voice and immediately leaned back as if they had nothing to do with Yingjie or his story.
Only Shao Rong was daring enough to speak in front of Ren Weimin, "What are you afraid of? Don't tell me, looking at her pitiful expression and beautiful face you agreed to be with her?"
As she was too drunk, her face reddened and her words slurred a little and even her words which were supposed to be strong were so soft that no one heard any warning from them. It is only Ren Weimin who was afraid that she would misunderstand him and told Yingjie to continue.
But when he spoke the words 'Continue' his voice slurred a little indicating that he was also drunk a little too much.
"No Miss Shao, you are wrong. He did not accept her. Instead it was totally opposite. Weimin looked at her with so much disgust that everyone, for a second, thought that she was not a beautiful woman but was actually made of trash. That disgusting look was so fierce that her eyes reddened immediately. Then he spoke a single sentence and the entire block became silent."
"What is that sentence?" Someone from the people around asked without containing his curiosity any longer.
"You are not my Teddy." Yingjie who was bright turned his face seriously and imitated Ren Weimin with a cold voice that everyone thought that it was actually Ren Weimin who spoke those words now.
"Then she asked, 'What Teddy?' and he replied, 'No one is as beautiful as her'. If he did not say the word 'her' in the next sentence everyone would still think that Weimin was actually in love with a teddy bear which did not suit his manly image in any way. But once he said that it was a girl, everyone understood that Teddy was actually a girl and he would not love anyone other than her." Yingjie sighed at the scene, "But the disgust in his eyes made everyone shiver that no one again tried to get close to him from then onwards. Who would want to be on the receiving end of such a look?"
As everyone in the room were dumbfounded at his words, Shao Rong donned a bright smile on her face which cannot be hidden from anyone.
