<wolf territory>
(various pov)
In a blink, the lion King arrived,
His form towered over six-meter plus, in height, if this was not enough for those whose gaze (s) fell on this King he was made even more majestic with his dark mane bleeding gold.
Those golden eyes stark against his black fur tinged with gold paws and tail.
The first elder who watched on as the king appeared had to admit he had been intimidated.
"The first elder of the wolves greets the King of lions and his queens,"
Bending his forepaws in greeting and dipping his head muzzle down gaze down; the first elder bowed to the lion who was above him in rank, power, skill and sheer dominance.
"Enough with the pleasantries. We have heard that the priestess has died!"
The King said in a booming tone, almost emitting a roar of annoyance. As curtsy for a lion to tread on wolf territory, one must inform the other, a day before, but the King had found the death of the priestess a blow to his pride.
He had lost ten of his sons and the entire last batch of cubs, four of his daughters five of his females and seven of his sons leaving only two males and one female alive who were over a thousand realm cycles, if one had to include those from his pride he would say half of his lions were already dead.
Ignoring the smaller wolf, he found this wolf disgusting wishing that he would just die already, but alas it seems it would be impossible at the moment.
"She has passed away ten days ago,"
The fourth elder, a golden coloured wolf, replied a bit of arrogance in his words. One of the queen snarled, baring sharp ivory teeth, then spoke in a voice filled with both contempt and disdain.
Her words were rigorous since Mara as the second Queen had lost her last litter of cubs five days ago.
They had only been half a century. How can she even bear to look at these lowly wolves who had allowed the last two anchors for their realm to die.
She raged inside and felt a sadness that threatened to choke her to death.
Her sister nudged her, trying her best to calm her.
"Wolves were always foolish. With the death of the priestess and her heir, the realm will destabilise and fall to ruin,"
The elder felt his hearts stutter, and his mind explode at the realisation.
"Heir? The pup she carried-"
"The pup she carried was not the heir but the one your kind had killed,"
The third queen scoffed, sneering at this foolish wolf.
Why would he a foolish beast be allowed to live so long?
"I-impossible…"
The second elder whispered, the first elder felt his eyes slanted in annoyance at this female's outburst. What right did she have to speak?
Even if she had been a queen, females had their places in all hierarchy and compared to wolves she was not worthy.
"Impossible? Killing something so powerful. It has to be known when the pup was born. The three moons had aligned one behind the other, shining down on her form. That night both she-wolf and pup were blessed. All bowed to her but few refused, right? Because she was not a beast born like us and deemed a defect and called a mongrel,"
The first elder thought to deny it but it was futile, he was fully aware that all that the Queen had said had been true.
Trying to stay calm, the first elder tried his best to think of ways to calm these angry lions, but the voice of the fourth elder his words shocked him.
Turning to snap at the foolish wolf, he was frozen at the large blur that flew past his line of sight.
"We have lost wolves-"
one of the queens lunged at the fourth elder since the lioness was much bigger than the wolf who was a mere three-point nine meters to her five.
The Queen pinned him down easily with a large forepaw pressing down until his chest collapsed his form twitched a howl of pain escaped his lips.
While the first elder helplessly watched on.
Niah the first queen.
Felt pleasure in what she was doing, after all, she had lost-
No!
What they had as an entire pride had lost was because of these wolves!
Leaning down opening her maw baring ivory teeth and saliva spawning his entire muzzle Niah bit down on his skull with such strong force that it collapsed. With a simple slight yank Niah pulled back with half of his face in her maw, finding it disgusting, the queen spat out the remains and returned to the side of her king and mate.
While the wolf went still in death, his form degrading into dust floating on the wind.
The wolves felt fear zip down their spines, from that one move the lions had made it clear that they were not here to inquire or even negotiate but to destroy the wolf pack.
The lionesses roared, the Queen muzzle stained with the blood of the deceased wolf spoke, her green eyes and golden form extremely Regal.
Each word sounded could be heard, that she had utter contempt for the wolves.
"We have lost half of our pride. The fault lies in the wolves. We are here only for compensation!"
The king spoke up a time later.
His golden gaze trapping those who dared to look directly into that endless inferno was void of mercy.
"Kill them all, leave none alive!"
Horror engulfed the first elder wolf, every step he had taken so far was carefully calculated.
The fall of the queen the careful elimination of her mates and pups, how much effort for the past two thousand realm cycles had he put in?
Countless.
Selected the right wolves to mate in order to produce the perfect alpha, elimination of those wolves who would later hinder the pack.
All of this was for the good of the pack, but that anomaly who in turn was the priestess appeared and mated with those males.
What had been special about those wolves?
Their power was subpar, an earth wielder, and one of water.
It had been an obvious thing that their genes would produce a useless thing.
then birthing a single pup and female at that if it was not bad she was born without a wolf the other that most held hope on died in the womb if it was the firstborn that he had always aimed for had died it would have been a pleasure but not the second.
No matter how many times he had tried to get rid of that mongrel, she just would not die.
After when the alpha had fallen for the she Wolf who carried another's seed, he thought that this was no different than the late Queen.
Males falling for that slut, for a priestess.
The first elder thought that she should be rid of.
After all realms, three lacked a priestess for over a thousand years. Her dying is fine.
Sprinkling ground Szem powder in her meals to slowly eat away at her hearts and brain, weakening her so much so that when he attacked, she would be unable to fight back.
The first elder waited for her death but was shocked by her madness. Why would she and that mongrel not give in and die?
"First elder Cain. You are still alive,"
Niah said a bit surprised when she approached the first elder. Her sister born from the same litter nudged her and spoke.
The rage for this wolf was extremely high how much destruction has he caused.
"He is a parasite, a mongrel that dared to bite its master!"
"Dear sister, try not to be so harsh to the old thing," Niah spoke softly, rubbing against the slightly smaller lioness.
Ears flat on his head, the first elder eased backwards while the two Queens stepped forward. Niah spoke again, a bit puzzled over this wolf.
It had been well known of his past deeds, many species had sought him and here he was ah.
"You are what? Two thousand, three hundred? It was said you served the queen as her bed warmer for a time, before she had mated the Kings," Niah drew to a halt pausing directly above his huddled form, he was once a powerful thin Wolf able to stand by the Queen, but he had become greedy wanting more than what was given.
This male wolf had been responsible for instigating the war between the wolves, lions and tigers.
"You are like the dark lands where all life withers and dies. The queen died, her kingdom fell. Wolves were the most prosperous nation, but it fell to ruin,"
"A woman should have one mate! A male should-"
Nyla attacked him sinking teeth deep into his spine lifting him and shaking.
The wolf released a yelp as lightening shot out, zapping the unaware lines directly on the top of her head.
Summoning a shield to protect her sister who fell on the ground twitching, Niah released a roar of rage.
The lions lunged forward to the wolf who at present was in the process of healing his damaged spine.
With a smirk, Niah watched the lions jointly bite him repeatedly ripping out chunks of flesh, enough that he could feel the pain and horror of being eaten alive.
The other wolves were howling in pain as they were quickly torn apart.
Everything happened so fast, still to those under attack forced to feel their limbs being torn apart, wounds inflicted... It seemed as if time had slowed.
"Head to the pack lands, spare no one!"
Niah roared, while the lions moved from the once handsome wolf with lustrous fur and gaze filled with both proud arrogance and wisdom.
The next chapter may contain some sad parts. I dunno if it might hit some spots for you guys but remember it's all fiction.
