70.04% Shadow Emperor in Another World / Chapter 167: [Chapter 165] Ochil

章節 167: [Chapter 165] Ochil

Me and Dreag leave the shadow dome as I pull out my white runestone. I select a red rune and wait till I hear a voice, the familiar rough voice one I know well.

"Hi Kurayami, how have you been? Heard you have been undergoing a large project."

I smile at his voice, memories flowing in of our past.

"Hey Ochil, I have been pretty good. And yes, I am starting a kingdom myself! I was wondering if you would wanna make an alliance with me?" I ask, hoping he agrees.

"Why wouldn't I? You saved my daughter from an enemy army so I should pay you back at least. And let's not forget we have known eachother for five years now." He says in a happy voice, causing me to smile.

"So are we making a big event of this or are we doing this privately?" I ask as I stand beside the shocked crowd, having arrived quickly with my insane speed. I guess seeing a massive metallic panther can make you question reality for a bit.

I hear a laugh as he says, "Of course it should be an event, two kingdoms coming together should always be celebrated! Especially since it hasn't happened in hundreds of years."

I smile at his enthusiasm as I tell him, "Well, my kingdom is just starting out but we already have the layout set. It should be done within two months." I say as I quickly recheck my calculations before nodding.

I then hear a high pitched-feminine voice enter my ears, "That stuff about Divine Beasts went over my head. And who is Ochil?" I look at my forearm as I see Sky, realizing I had forgotten she was listening the entire time.

I hold up my finger as I silently tell her to wait, causing her to be silent as she listens.

"Alright! Wait....did you say two months?!" He asks in shock as I practically hear him stand up.

"Yes." I answer firmly. At the rate my shadow soldiers are building, the town should be finished in practically no time. Although most of them are working so I still need to find a way to defend the people from magic beasts and possibly invading troops. But then I gain an idea.

"What do you mean by two months?! How many workers do you have?!" He asks in disbelief.

I shrug, even if he can't see it, "10,000 maybe? I mean you can ask your assassin's yourself if you don't believe me."

The line goes silent for a moment before he speaks, "Alright, I believe you. But...how can only 10,000 workers work that fast?"

"Actually, it's a little less than 10,000. I still have to have a few guard the area and make sure no magic beasts enter. I have seen some scary creatures around here." I tell him as I remember my experience in the woods a few years ago. I got the army of dire bears somehow.

"They are soldiers?! How can soldiers do construction?!" He asks in disbelief.

I sigh in defeat, 'This world is too close minded.'

I look at the patiently waiting sky as I tell him, "My soldiers are unique, they don't run out of stamina. It's a simple no magic spell of mine but can be draining to cast."

'This is the best way to put it, partially because it's true, but no one else will try to replicate it.' I think while meanwhile, the king is freaking out.

He is ranting about how soldiers with no stamina should be physically impossible, this could revolutionize the kingdom and war, yada yada yada.

I let him rant as I stand there for five minutes, silently listening when he takes a breath. "Could you cast that on my soldiers?"

I smile and shake my head, the first question he has asked in five minutes was this. "Sorry, it only works on certain people and I don't think I could do that. But technology is another story. We should discuss this matter in person, sometime this week. It's already unprofessional to talk about a treaty over the stone."

"Yes, I am sorry, I got ahead of myself. How about in two days?" The king says, calming himself and his child like demeanor.

"Sure and would you mind bringing a trustworthy knight to help guard my kingdom once I must go back to my world?" I ask, remembering a way to solve my problem.

"I can indeed, I will be talking with you face to face in two days. See you then." He speaks, his tone a lot calmer now.

"See you then." I hang up the line as I wave my hand, the stone disappearing from my palm.

"Who was that? He seems full of vitality." Asks Sky as she looks at me curiously, but before I can answer, Dreag is pointing at her with his large finger. "What is that?"

I wave my hands as I tell him, "Don't worry, she is friendly. Her name is Sky."

He looks up close to her, causing her to gaze back at him happily, waving one of her claws at him. He slowly waves back as he looks back up at me, "Does it not hurt to have...her...poking out of your skin like that? And what is she anyway?" He asks as he points at the large slit in my arm, blood somehow not spurting out.

I shrug, "It's actually quite numb, I can't really feel anything there." I respond as I poke it, causing her to giggle.

"That tickles! You can't feel anything since I numb the area using a liquid." I nod, "Makes sense. Numbing creams have been around for a while."

Then Dreag speaks up, "Are you talking to that thing?"

I nod my head, "Can you not hear her?" But before he can answer, she answers.

"No, I don't have a mouth technically. So I can't speak. I stay connected to your nerves and project my voice through electromagnetic signals."

I think for a moment before shrugging. 'Parasite stuff is confusing. Not that I don't understand that.'
