Johan pivoted and gave his grandfather a nod. "Yes, Grandpa."

"You seemed motivated to train now, Hijo," Don Juanico said, taking a sip from his teacup with a satisfied look on his face. "According to Peter, you're no longer fooling around at practice. I'm glad you're taking Eskrima seriously now. It's for your own good."

"Your grades have improved too," quipped Ivan, who's on a two-day leave to visit his pregnant wife. "It looks like putting you in the same room with Russell was the right thing to do. He managed to tame your shitty attitude."

"Ivan, don't start," Mylene warned, caressing the bump on her stomach as she turned her attention to him. "Don't mind your Dad. We're just happy that you and my brother are getting along now. And I hope we get along too someday. Especially now that you're having a baby brother."
