[Adrian's POV]

He entered their house with great caution. After parking his motorbike beside their family car, instead of walking straight to their living room, Adrian made a detour to the kitchen's back door. There's a chance he might meet his mother, but so long as there's no clattering sound, it meant she's not in the kitchen.

Pulling at the aluminum screen door, Adrian stuck his head to the opening and roamed his gaze around. Their dining room was empty, and he heard no noises from the kitchen. He tiptoed inside, clutching the set of keys in his pocket, and made his way to the stairs. Adrian only needed to make it to his room without meeting any members of their family.

"Why are you sneaking like fucking burglar?" Aaron said from behind.

Startled, Adrian turned to face his brother, who was holding a black mug filled with piping hot cocoa. "W-what—! You're the one who's sneaking up on me! The hell, Bro!"
