[Johan's POV]

"Have a safe drive."

Crouched down as he tied his shoelaces, Adrian looked up to him and flashed a smile that didn't reach his eyes. The sadness in them made Johan's heart ached. Adrian stood and faced him. "I will, Han. Thanks."

"See you later at work?" Johan said, hopefully. He reached for the front door of his apartment to accompany Adrian outside, but a hand to his waist stopped him. Adrian hugged him from behind, and he simply let him.

Adrian sighed against his nape. "Fuck. I don't want to go. Can't I just live here with you?"

That's tempting, but Johan shook his head. He swiveled around and cupped Adrian's face, placing a quick kiss on his lips. "Don't be ridiculous. Your family is waiting for you."

"You don't want me to live here with you?" Adrian asked.

"You know I want to, right?" Johan said in a small voice, looking Adrian in the eyes. "It always feels home when you're here."
