The words Ivar told him were like his death sentence. With him realizing that he fell for Angeal and with him now knowing what would happen to both of them, especially to her, it instantly shattered his heart into teeny tiny pieces. 

Tears already escaped from the Soul Eater's eyes, forming rivulets on his face. Ivar continued to look at him, not knowing what to do. His eyes reflected sadness and pain for Devin. He knew it would make their master's heart feel heavy... but he has to know. 

"I'm sorry... I had to tell you now. With the two of you developing despite her having feelings for Arlo, who knows what would—"

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner!?"
