Arno F. Fabian's POV
BEEP...BEEP...BEEP... CLICK
I turned off my alarm as I woke up. I kept staring at the ceiling; getting my plans together.
'I should be near the capital of Vale a few hours away - If I don't stop - but other than that I guess I'll have to visit the Sapphire Company's Vale Branch while I'm there.', I sighed.
I'm pretty sure that Ardis is using my appearance to run the business, so it should probably be safe to walk inside carefreely. I should probably also visit some shops, and in general, explore the capital.
"Haa...", I sighed as I got off my bed and put on my clothes.
My clothes consists of a white T-shirt that is under my black jacket and I also wear navy-blue trousers. Simple, but nice. Afterall, I have no plans to go to town looking like the rumoured 'Blue Enigma' because it'll give too much unnecessary attention.
Once I wore my clothes, I headed towards the mirror and saw my appearance. However, I noticed something.
'Damn, I forgot I looked possessed without the eyepatch.'
I scurried over to the desk and took what was on top of it, then I headed back to the mirror. This time I wore a white eyepatch with black outlines.
'Feels odd.', I raised an eyebrow.
My left eye's vision is blocked, but I can see perfectly fine with it thanks to that exploding sword's spirit.
I put on a white cloak as I left my inn room.
"I'm heading out.", I informed the innkeeper.
"Please come again.", She gave her formalities as I exited the building.
GRUMBLE GRUMBLE
I could hear my stomach rumbling so I headed to a nearby fast-food store. I sat down on a stool, and ordered some food.
"Ramen, dump a bottle of spice."
The old store vendor nodded and... got it prepared within a few seconds? HOW?! IT'S STILL WARM AS WELL! THE FUCK?
I shook my head and just left the lien, no need to think about it.
'Hmm... That's some nice combination of flavour and spice.', I consumed the ramen with a smile.
After awhile, I finished the ramen and left a tip.
"Thanks for the food."
The old man nodded and continued to just silently stare for new customers. Not creepy.
I headed towards this village's exit and left. I then proceeded to eject my motorcycle from my Bracelet, and then proceeded to get on top of it.
"Hope it'll be a peaceful day.", I muttered audibly.
I twisted the handles and put my foot on the pedals to start my journey to the capital of Vale.
'I should try thinking of making a hoverboard when I get enough materials.', I thought with a slight grin as I spotted multiple Grimm in my way.
I got my [Noir Blanchette] in its pistol form, and aimed towards my targets. There were 6 Grimm, hence there were 3 shots.
BANG BANG BANG
'I feel like I'm apart of a bikergang like this.', I thought while sheathing my [Noir Blanchette] in my wristband.
I put more force into the pedal to go faster, as I was pretty sure that some more Grimm would soon be arriving at this rate.
After a while, I could finally see the capital of Vale whilst I was humming an entertaining tune.
After doing the regular procedures, I entered the capital.
'Guess I'll take a look at the Sapphire Company.', I headed towards Vale's Sapphire Company Branch.
I straightened my back - as if I was running an organization again - and pushed open the doors. I exuded an authoritative manner on purpose because it shows that I have authority and position, while I entered the elevator and pressed a button to head to my office.
BING
An alert resounded from the elevator to inform me that I had arrived at my destination. I exited the elevator, then I entered my office after proceeding to complete the security procedures.
(Welcome back, Young Master.), Ardis greeted me as I sat down on my comfy office chair.
"So, how have things been going lately?", A smile slightly enveloped my face seeing my remaining family member.
(Everything has been proceeding as planned, and any possible 'setbacks' has already been dealt with.), Ardis informed me.
My smile turned neutral as I realised that some lives were lost because they didn't grow up properly.
'You see, in my opinion, the reason why people turn out how they are is because they were influenced by their surroundings too much because I believe that nothing is inherently good or evil.', I explained to no one in particular as I added on 'However, that won't stop me from killing them though.'
I dazed off slightly, however I soon regained my sense of focus.
"Great, then I want you next to proceed to claim or buy more plots of land while also searching for possible material mines.", I ordered Ardis "Also I want you to set up some chain stores in small villages, since it'll overall increase the profit."
(Acknowledged.), Ardis gave me confirmation.
"Anyway, thanks for informing me about this."
(It was my pleasure.), Ardis gave halfhearted words.
There was a moment of silence, so I decided to ask Ardis a question.
"So, uh... How much longer till the entrance exam begins?", I asked Ardis.
(I believe it starts within three weeks.), Ardis informed me.
I gave off a sigh.
"Haa... I could've arrived sooner if not for running into bandits.", I lamented "Which makes me wonder why they have been so active lately."
I gave off another sigh while thinking:
'Welp, not my problem. At least, not now.'
I turned towards Ardis.
"Hey, you get those materials I asked for?", I asked Ardis.
(Yes, I've left them in your private quarters in the secret room.)
When I heard this I smiled and slightly chuckled.
"Welp, looks like I know what to do with the remaining three weeks. Well, if I concentrate that is."
A smiled plastered onto my face as I thought of my next creation that I'll be using.
