Chapter 12 - Finish

Dodo passed on the skill information to Kyle. Similar to the skill books, the information that Kyle got was the basic information about the skill, the theory of the skill, the calculation, and the schematic diagram for the skill. It took about 15 minutes to pass on the skill information.

Once Kyle got all the information, he was surprised to find out how complex the calculation and schematic diagram was. The truth was the theory was complex too but it involved parts of what Kyle learned at the college and thus, he found it not as complex and complicated.

"Are you for real? This is too complex for a simple skill like speed up!" Kyle was surprised. The skill that Dodo gave him was the speed up skill. It was supposed to be a common active skill but Dodo modified it to a passive skill. Other than that, Dodo had made it to be 100% compatible with Kyle and thus, there would be no danger when Kyle tried to construct the skill in his mana space.

Not only that, the skill that was supposed to only increase the speed by 5 was increased to 10. Double the initial effect of the skill. If that was not enough, the mana usage for the skill was changed too. As an active skill, the user needed to use 5 mana to activate the skill for three minutes but as for the passive skill, 3 mana would be automatically used for an hour.

With mana regeneration of 1 per 10 minutes for a rank 1 magician, Kyle would not worry about running out of mana because he only needed 3 mana per hour while he could restore 3 mana in half an hour. The improvement that Dodo had made to the skill was massive but the skill became complex too.

The calculation took 30 whole pages if it was written on an A4 paper and the schematic diagram had 3 layers of 2d diagram instead of 1 layer of 2d diagram. The original speed up skill would have 10 points to be constructed and connected in a layer but the improved speed up skill had more than that.

Instead of 10 points, the first layer had 40 points, the second layer had 10 points while the third layer had 70 points. Overall, there would be 120 points that Kyle needed to construct in his mana sea for the skill.

[This is the best that I can do. I try to simplify it more but this is the simplest one I can make at this moment. You don't know how much more complex it was before the one I give you. Want me to pass on that more complex speed up skill?] Dodo asked.

He was annoyed that Kyle was complaining when he was the one who improved the skill, making the skill compatible with Kyle, did all the calculations, and built the schematic diagram. Kyle should have said thanks instead of questioning what he did.

"No, it is fine. Anyway, this skill will help me when I am this weak," said Kyle and he added, "Thanks Dodo, I will rely on you to make a better skill in the future," said Kyle while smiling. He was grateful for Dodo's help. If Kyle did the work all by himself, he would need a year or more to make the same passive speed up that Dodo had made.

[…] Dodo was silent. He thought that Kyle would not thank him but Kyle did it sincerely and Dodo could feel it. He felt guilty of getting annoyed at Kyle. [I will pray for you to get a girl fast because you are nice enough] thought Dodo.

"Well then, you can continue with your work. I will need to focus myself on constructing this in my mana sea," said Kyle and he went upstairs to his home to start constructing the skill. As his money was running low, he needed to work on the skill fast and went hunting for monster's data as soon as possible. He needed the dojo to operate soon to make money.

Kyle entered his room and sat on the bed in a cross-legged position. Since the skill information was etched in his mind, he could focus solely on constructing the mana sea. Magicians would usually need to remember everything before they did the schematic construction in their mana sea and sometimes they would need to look back at their notes while the construction happened. Kyle did not need to see any notes because he already remembered everything.

Kyle entered his consciousness and went straight to his mana sea. The artificial eagle soul was still floating lifelessly in the small mana sea. Without wasting much time, Kyle started constructing the speed up skill. When he constructed the first point of the first layer, mana from the mana sea was pulled into the points.

When the mana entered the point, he suddenly felt heavy and the first point started to shake and crack could be seen forming on the first point. Kyle knew that he would fail if he did not stabilize the point. He immediately focused and tried to stabilize the point. He took five minutes to stabilize the first point.

"Hah, hah," Kyle was sweating. "This is harder than I thought and this skill is supposed to be compatible with me. It must be harder for those that had lower compatibility with the skill," thought Kyle and he finally knew how hard it was to construct a skill. He had read books that said many magicians took days to construct the skill in their mana sea and Kyle had no idea how long it would take for him to construct the skill.

"Well, let's keep doing this," thought Kyle and he continued with the second point. While Kyle was busy with the skill construction, Dodo was busy with the dojo construction.

[Hmm~ The first thing I need to upgrade when we have more money is to upgrade the mana generator. Energy is the most important thing for this dojo to run smoothly. Should I use some of the energy to upgrade the mana generator?] Dodo was thinking and he made the decision to use the energy given by the law of multiverse to upgrade the mana generator. Energy was important and it would not need much of the energy for the upgrade to happen.

Both Kyle and Dodo are busy with their work. Two days later.

Day 2, Month 1, Fall, Year 3022

Kyle sat cross-legged on his bed and he was sweating profusely. Inside the mana sea, Kyle was connecting the two last points of the skill. Kyle had used most of the past two days constructing the speed-up skill in his mana sea. He had finished the point construction in less than 8 hours but then, he knew the real difficulty of constructing the skill.

Rather than building the point, connecting them was the hardest. If he by chance made a small mistake with the connection, the whole construction would collapse and the mana sea might get damaged. Not only that, to connect two points exerted a lot of energy. He needed to rest for a few minutes every time he connected two points.

After struggling for the past two days, he had finally reached the final point. Once he connected the last point, he would successfully learn the speed up skill. He could not wait to learn the skill because he wanted to open the dojo.

Dodo had fully finished building the dojo. Kyle had gone to check on the dojo once and he was satisfied with the result. Nothing was amazing about the dojo and it looked simple because Dodo had run out of energy to create more things to decorate the dojo.

The Dojo had a counter beside the entrance where Kyle would sit and greet the customer as well as introducing the dojo to them. Opposite the counter, there were two vending machines for the customer to buy tickets to use the training room. The vending machine could also be used to buy drinks but the service was halted because they had no resources to buy beverages.

Passing the counter and vending machine was a huge area with about 50 sofas properly lined where the customer could sit while waiting for their turn. Other than that, the dojo had six training rooms for the customer to use to train. There were also two medical rooms where the customer could visit if they were injured.

Dodo used a lot of energy to create machines, medicines, and potions for the medical room. Since they had no way to produce them at the moment, Dodo decided to create a lot of those to help any of their injured customers.

However, Dodo used most of the 5% leftover energy from the law of the multiverse to create planets for their monsters to live. At the moment, the planet was empty with only the ground present. Dodo planned for the created monsters to live on the planet before they were teleported inside the training room to be killed by the magician. Kyle and Dodo did not pity the monster because they were not intelligent and it was in their nature to kill any other lifeform they met.

How Dodo would create the monsters was unknown to Kyle but he knew that Dodo would need the data of the monster before he could create them. Since they had zero data on the monster (the analysis data not from the books) Dodo could not create them.

Inside Kyle's mana sea, the final point was almost connected to the second to last line. "A bit more! A bit more!" Kyle was clenching his teeth and pushed the line more towards the last point. A bit more struggle and the line was connected to the last point.

Once all of the points were connected, they shone brightly and a transparent bubble formed around the skill's schematic construct covering the whole construct and stabilizing the skill. Once the skill was stabilized, Kyle got a notification from the system.

[Passive skill, speed-up learned. Speed increased by 10] said the system.

"Why are you using the robotic voice?" Kyle asked Dodo. At the beginning of their encounter, Dodo had a mechanical voice but did not sound robotic. Later on, Dodo's voice sounded more like a human and the mechanical voice was gone. Kyle had forgotten how Dodo's voice used to sound.

[Oh, that is the default sound I make. There is no need for me to say everything. It will be tiring. Get used to it. I have many things to do other than saying those simple things] said Dodo and Kyle did not say anything to that. Kyle knew how busy Dodo was especially after he had started hacking to get more information.

After Dodo finished constructing the dojo, he got bored and asked for Kyle's permission to practice his hacking skill. Kyle gave his permission but only allowed Dodo to hack small shops or companies and never once touched the medium and large company and especially the government or anyone related to them. If they got caught, that would cause a lot of trouble.

"Status," said Kyle and his status screen appeared.

"Is the one <+10> from my speed up skill?" Kyle asked. He already knew the [+3] at the attack stat was from the iron dagger he bought before. The dagger arrived the day before and Kyle had equipped it onto himself. The equip function was part of the dojo system power that Dodo had upgraded.

As the dojo system's owner, Kyle could use the function even outside the dojo. However, for his customer, they needed to pay for it to use them inside the dojo and if they wanted to use it even outside the dojo, they needed to pay for more. Kyle had yet to set the price but Dodo had told him that that was the plan.

With the equipment function, as long as someone sets their equipment on the slot available, they would be able to easily summon the set equipment from their storage space onto their body. Magicians would usually equip the equipment in the wild and rarely used them in the city.

Magicians would usually stay in the wild for a few days and sometimes months for training or hunting monsters. The wild area was dangerous and they would always need to be alert and thus, they would always wear their equipment. With the equipment function, they could easily equip their equipment in less than a second and could stay comfortable even when they were in the wild. Dodo wanted to use this as the selling point so that their customer would buy the service.

[Yes. I use different brackets so that it is easier for you and our customer to differentiate it] said Dodo.

"Now that everything is done, I guess it is fine if we go out of the city to hunt monsters," said Kyle. He was now a magician though his current eagle soul was temporary, he could still go to the wild area to hunt some monsters. The monsters around the city were weak and he could easily handle them with his current ability.

[Let's go tomorrow. Today is a bit late] said Dodo and Kyle looked out of the window and it was almost dusk. It was not a good idea to go to the wild area at night because the monsters were more active at night and a beginner like Kyle to go at night was asking to be killed. Kyle nodded. He agreed with Dodo and he did not want to risk his life.

[You should rest properly tonight and we will go to the wild area tomorrow morning] said Dodo and he continued, [Also, I have something I wanted to show you] said Dodo. [Open your storage menu]

Kyle opened his storage menu. The storage looked exactly like the bag storage in RPG games. There were many empty boxes and each box could store an unlimited amount of items. The unlimited amount was not present in games, it was something that Dodo did. Kyle was the only person who could use the storage.

Dodo had thought of making the storage a service to the customer too but he had run out of energy. Once they had built many mana generators, he might be able to make it for the customer and of course, they needed to pay for it.

Once Kyle saw his storage, he was surprised because there were three different types of potions in his storage and their amount was in the one hundred. "You made this for me?" Kyle asked. He felt touched that Dodo used the energy to make potions for Kyle.

[Since I made the medical room, I thought I should make some potions for you. Although the customer is important, my master is the priority] said Dodo, and Kyle smiled.

[I am sure you are familiar with the small potion and medium potion. The small potions are used to heal a small physical wound. The medium potion is used to heal bleeding physical wounds] said Dodo and Kyle nodded.

[I thought of making the high potion but I think that there are better and important potions I should make for you and I choose the regeneration potion. With this potion, even if your limbs are cut and turned to dust, you can regrow them back as long as the injury is less than a week] said Dodo, and Kyle nodded again.

[I am not cursing you but it is better to be prepared] said Dodo.

"What if the attack killed me instantly?" Kyle asked.

[Before you get killed, I will teleport you back to the shop instantly. I tell you the system has their trump card to save their master and that is my trump card] said Dodo and Kyle smiled.

"You must love me a lot, right Dodo?" Kyle jokes.

[… I am not gay]

"You don't even have any gender," said Kyle and then, Kyle closed the storage and he decided to cook dinner before Dodo stopped him again. "What is it now?" Kyle asked.

[I have something else I want to show. You will be shocked when you see this] said Dodo proudly. Kyle raised his eyebrow. He was not sure how shocking it would be but he gladly followed Dodo. Dodo led him to his home and inside his room, there was a new door.

"What is this door for? New toilet?" Kyle asked while smiling. He opened the door and there was a small, empty room with a magic circle on the floor. Dodo entered the magic circle and a gaming screen appeared in front of him.

[Choose your location. 1. Vegetable planet. 2. Animal planet] Kyle was stunned.

"What is this?" Kyle asked and Dodo urged him to choose one but he advised Kyle to choose the vegetable planet because there was nothing much on the animal planet. Kyle followed Dodo's word and chose the vegetable planet.

The magic circle shone and Kyle surrounding immediately changed from the small room to an open area. "Teleportation," thought Kyle. He looked around and was shocked to see cabbages grew on the ground healthily. He looked further and saw an area with white radish, another area with carrot, cucumber, spinach, and many more vegetables.

Kyle recognized that all of these vegetables were the one Dodo absorbed before and analyzed them. He was shocked to see them grow healthily there. "How did you do this?" Kyle looked at the sky and there was a sun warming up the area too.

[The sun is simply a combination of fire and light magic. The plants need sunlight to grow, so I made the small sun. As for the vegetables, with the data from each vegetable, I make a combination of many magic skills so that the vegetables can grow even without any seeds. Hehe, you can say this is like a game where the monster respawns automatically except the vegetables grown normally but fast with the help of time magic] said Dodo proudly.

"The vegetable is a living thing too. How? ..." Kyle stopped when he remembered that Dodo had made a connection with the life law. He looked at the center of each of the vegetable fields and he saw the same bubble he had in his mana sea.

Inside the bubble in the middle of the cabbage field was a cabbage soul and inside the soul was a super complex magic schematic construct. The construct was in 3d with an uncountable number of points. Kyle gasped in awed.
