Though she knew the punishment, Feng Shufen must have decided for the two would be no less, she still doesn't want their final decision to come without proper calculation of their sins. Wen Sying has attacked her and dignity, but above that, she has also taken an innocent's life. How could she let her off without giving her the realization of that? 

"I just …" Before she could explain more, Feng Shufen shushed her to silence. 

"Do you not believe me?" He simply asked and Li Xue could immediately shake her head since the man still had his fingers over her lips.
