章節 364: Second Place

Sarah was not satisfied with the way her life was currently going at all. She had graduated over a year ago and Michael still didn't say anything about getting married. To make things worse, she was working in a chain restaurant whose food wasn't even that good because she couldn't find a job anywhere else straight out of culinary school.

The worst part of all was spending fourteen hours on the set of that cooking competition show making it all the way to the finals only to get second place, which didn't have any prize money. All of her hard work had gone to waste at the last possible second.

She was never going to get out of the kitchen she currently worked in, was she? She wanted the chance to create. To experiment with her own recipes. To be the one in charge rather than following other people's instructions all the time.

After spending most of her life following orders she wanted to do her own thing! Was that really so much to ask?
